Actually FC Copenhagen were quite angry at UEFA, letting the Erdogans own pet project (owned by the ministry of sport) play the home leg with full stands during the corona crisis, waiting to do a full corona-stop the very next day, while UEFA not allowing people in the stands in Copenhagen, even though the Danish authorities have approved it to be safe with up to 10,000 people in the stands in the Superliga in July, but now UFFA were suddenly saying that they want equal rules for all remaining clubs, while before the first leg, UEFA refused all complaints, saying it was up to the Turkish ministry of health (and sport ) to pass judgement of the right thing to do and with FC Copenhagen being told to quit complaining about the health risk and show up to play the game or face the consequences (of being kicked out of the tournament).

Btw, when the Ministry of Defense took charge of Istanbul Basaksehir and relocated the club from the Olympic Stadium to a new stadium in the Erdogan stronghold Basaksehir district of Istanbul, Their first game at the new stadium was an exhibition match in which Erdogan got to score a hat-trick.The club then retired the number 12 shirt he wore during the match, in honor of their number one supporter and fan.

But as you know, FC Copenhagen kicked out the Erdogan boys of Istanbul in a return leg with empty seats. here are the highlights from the game:

On my Dish the Wolves/OLY match on CBSSN is labeled as Champions League on the guide.
Is that a Dish Labeling problem or are others seeing it on other providers?

Homie: On DTV, listing is just Europa League with no teams.

It took *1* f*****g day for CBS to do what I described above. The Wolves-Olympiacos game has a news crawl and right away spoilers were shown for Europa so I jumped off before a spoiler appeared for the Wolves game and will go to the games on the DVR from Univision even though I prefer English. Good god, why is it so hard for these stations to understand a simple fact: TV viewers have made that choice because they want a full screen. Maybe phone or tablet viewers are cool with small screens and junked up screens. I can't say; that's not how I watch unless I'm on an airplane. And who watches a game knowing the result?

Also, last night CBS had about a 3 hour gap between two Europa broadcasts. Both were the same game. That's a brilliant use of programming slots in an age of the DVR.

    Me.

I have watched champions league finals 2 years after I DVR’d them.

I routinely watch matches months later. With the match details on the other screen so I know when the important incidents will be occurring.

Which means the news scroll is an even bigger waste of screen space for you, no?

So if you see a 20-minute gap between important incidents, you still watch those 20 minutes?

    Really good to me too.

I like when they were analyzing penalties and it seemed like everyone was ripping on Schmeichel for saying he would go with his feelings over analytics when it comes to decision making.
I like how he stuck to his guns. I like Keepers who take charge and have a plan. It is old school and intuitive within the moment.
I feel too many sports people rely on statistics way too much these days.

I only saw most of the first half-hour, but it seems like someone forgot to turn on a light switch.

Other than that, it was professional.

Analysts are clearly better than Turner.

Couldn’t listen to the Turner folks for even a second. The fox crew needs to be changed as well.

Juve-Lyon highlights at halftime of the Manchester City match.

It'd be advisable to watch both games simultaneously if possible or FF through halftime while squinting.

I’m watching Juve vs Lyon and there’s been no mention of the other game. The halftime show lasted about 2 minutes.

I switched over to Juve v Lyon. I like getting highlights to all the games at halftime and conclusion. I'm not going to watch more than 1 game most likely. Today work is slow and I'm able to watch, I hope we are able to stream games as I usually watch Champions League games in the evening after work.

And then I hope you can get to them without seeing the score.

For those of you who recorded both games on CBSSN...

....at the end of the live match they went to the end of the other match that was not shown live.
So if you want to watch both games when you get home just a warning for ya.

I watched the Juve-Lyon match live on CBSAA while recording Man City - Real Madrid, which I watched following conclusion of the first match.. I always avoid the halftime shows by tuning elsewhere for 15 minutes fir the live match, and setting the skip feature to 5 minutes and pressing the button three times on my FIOS DVR for the delayed match.

Net result: it worked out today....I heard no spoilers during Juve-Lyon However, around halfway through the second half of Man City-Real Madrid the announcers gave an update on Juve-Lyon. I lucked out by watching the games in the order I did....but will it hold to form in the future?

I don't understand why UEFA holds the two matches of the day at the same time...why don't they schedule one match at 7p CET and the other at 9p CET same as the slots for the Europa League?

Can all these sports channels please get rid of that news ticker at the bottom of the screen? It is 2020 and we have the Internet now, even on our phones. There is no need to make our screens smaller when we can just check the Internet for that stuff, and more.

I totally agree, but CBS (for example) doesn't want to give a competitor's website any hits because CBS doesn't have a ticker.

Look, When I tune into CBSSN and there is something like bull riding or fishing or jim rome, I want turn the channel faster than you can say "alexa tune into the next channel".

BUT if I see a score or big news story on the bottom scrolling and it is a headline that I like... ... I am like- what is this all about. Then it sends me on a rabbit hole journey , curious of what is that next bit of football news coming up or nba news coming up.
Then I am on the channel much longer than I realize since the phone goes off or I am cooking or whatever.

That is why they have the news and scores scroll down there- to keep eyeballs as long as they can for people that may have tuned out otherwise.

Counterpoint: my go-to app for American sports scores is the CBS Sports app, which is really good.

The 24/7 ticker below live sporting events has been my arch nemesis for so long. When it began in the ‘90s it was actually useful, but back then I had to listen to some of my favorite teams via Real Audio because so many sports broadcasts were regionalized (if a game was on TV at all).

Now, if I want to know a score I just check my phone/tablet, but I’m most likely to want to avoid a scrolling score. I don’t need that distracting scroll below a game I’m actively watching so I can learn very important things like “SOURCE: LeBron farts a lot during his Taco Tuesday meals.”

First post in years on BS. Thinking of signing up for CBS for the UEFA coverage, reading through the posts the initial impression seems positive?
