I'm not really clear on what the exact Chivas rule is. Either Jesse can play for Chivas because he does have Mexican citizenship, but would be forced to give up USMNT eligibility while under contract. Or, he's totally ineligible for Chivas because he would have to be eligible for El Tri. Perhaps it's the case that Chivas are willing to bend it (it's their own silly rule, after all) if they want. Anyway, I'd say he'd be crazy to go there unless Chivas pay him unusually well, and even then he'd be pretty crazy to.
