R is for a really wonderful live version of "Rubberband Man" from The Spinners. (and how about those giant rubberbands as props?)
We actually saw this episode. After the rubber bands came out, it became my mom's favorite song for a while.
S is for one of the most random songs ever: Bree Sharp's "David Duchovny" which was sent to the X-Files production team, who then made this video with all sorts of cameos and footage from episodes to then screen at the Christmas party.
Thanks @Len, that was new to me and I enjoyed it. The Peterson Brothers tune above too, come to think of it.
Glad you enjoyed them. I've been an Al Stewart fan since the 70s. I don't really know much about The Peterson Brothers other than they where in town a few years ago and were well received; so I checked them out on youtube (as I do with a lot bands I'm unfamiliar with) and was going to see them when they came through this year, but everything went haywire.
B is for "Barracuda" by Heart, which I am sharing mostly to honor one of the comments on the YouTube entry, which made me laugh: "This is my neighbor's favorite song. I made sure."
F is for Farris, Mike - "Mercy Now" The song starts at 3:00. He introduces the song talking about his father.
I'm sure I've mentioned it before in previous posts, but he was the lead singer for the Screamin' Cheatah Wheelies back in the mid-to-late 90s. Some good tunes back then, as well (Magnolia being my favorite CD).
