IMO, there are plenty of cops who'd do this anyway and then pretend they didn't know, just to ******** w/POCs.

I'm assuming it is Colorado, but I guess there is a big Aurora outside Chicago. I think it's Colorado, because that's where (a) that asshole dressed up like the Joker and shot up a movie theater, and was taken alive by the cops, and (b) a black man who played the violin got arrested and was killed by the cops during the arrest, followed by (c) protesters playing their violins in public got beaten down by the police while peacefully protesting.

It never ends.....********ing never ends....Despite all the demonstrations, not much has changed. An other heartbreaking story, right by the National Mall in DC.

Didn’t they also cover up for a cop that was literally blacked out drunk in his unmarked police car in uniform?

    Absolute scumbags.....

Colorado police apologize over viral video of cops handcuffing Black girls in a mistaken stop
    https://www.washingtonpost....

Sunday morning was meant to be a girls outing for the Gilliams, as cousins, sisters, aunts and nieces piled into an SUV to go get their nails done together in suburban Denver.

But before they could even find an open salon, the family’s four children were ordered at gunpoint to lay facedown on the parking lot, and two were handcuffed. The Black girls, who range from 6 to 17 years old, broke down into tears and screams as a group of White police officers hovered over them.

I want my mother,” one of them can be heard wailing on a video of the incident, gasping for air between sobs. “Can’t I have my sister next to me?"

And the issue is... and this is what I point out to my "a few bad cops" friends, is that these cops should be put on probation, or a progress improvement plan, or flat out fired. There is no "whoops," especially when someone is killed or injured.

It's not that we don't understand that there are good cops, and some bad cops that do bad things. It's that the bad cops that do bad things are never punished because the system is rigged in their favor. It's that the few bad cops can make up evidence, lie on police reports, and ruin or end peoples lives with impunity. And in the exceedingly rare cases that they do get punished, they stroll over to the next county and get another job. That is flat-out wrong and needs to change.

The thing about bad apples is that unless you get rid of them immediately, they spoil the whole barrel.

"The station's deputies have been in the spotlight since news surfaced last week of an alleged deputy gang with matching tattoos known as the "Executioners."

Deputy Art Gonzalez blew the whistle on the alleged gang of deputies in a newly filed government claim, the first step toward filing a lawsuit.

Deputy Gonzalez says that the "Executioner" deputies celebrate shootings of citizens with tattoo parties"

The Executioners are basically a street gang with uniforms. Lock 'em all up and put them in the GP, to serve as an example.

Not sure where last night in Chicago fits in.

    Not good, though.
