It also depends on health and form and other factors (discipline). I think Sinisterra if healthy will be in the mix but he may be out 'til March for Colombia. If Carrascal gets a lot of playing time or goes to Europe and looks good he will be in the mix too. So there is going to be good battles this cycle and many players to choose from in all three front line positions.

But as of right now we see someone in the media saying he thinks that Cucho should start for Colombia. I think most of us would say that is nonsense. But saying he should be given a chance for a roster Spot in October or November if he keeps improving and playing well is not out of the question.

Muriel and Duvan have 15 plus goals in Italy.

Cucho as a late sub wouldn’t be against it. Prefer him to Roger

up top who do we have In form or actually playing?

morelos season over? If so that just leaves MLS(none will get called), England (no strikers there), Italy (both getting called), Spain (interesting if he calls both) and turkey (unless el Tiger dies and doesn’t come back as a zombie he getting the call)

would really prefer a big camp. For me that is like 40-45 players. Would be impossible with COVID and such a short preseason. But why not call Luis Suarez and other big prospects we have to train with the team especially if they are on vacation.

be able to play Colombia B vs A. Rather see that than us play Haiti or 4 teams. Obviously mixed but try different options and players. Introduce them to the coach the team. Motivate them to be you are on the radar.

nothing pisses me off more than the 23 player call up. It’s not the fking World Cup!!!

Cucho with the highest shot created/dribble of u-23's in Europe is a window into his potential. And he's done it with a really good efficiency and on a shitty attacking relegated team.

This is a bit of weird stat that should be taken with a grain of salt, but he's a good dribbler and does draw a lot of fouls that help to get your team into attacking positions.

    Interesting stat.

I remember reading a similar stat about Carrascal on River. That stat was a bit different though but it had something to do with the most attacking dribbles for successful plays in all of Argentina. (He was the best.)

I would like to see both get a chance on the wings for Queiroz because knowing when to attack and being fearless while doing it is one thing, being successful and creating chances with that aggressive attitude is icing on the cake... ... and both those kids have those attributes.

That isn't ideal for his career. He's probably on the verge of getting the spanish nationality, he should remain another season in Spain just for that. What he needs is a better loan to a stronger spanish side and remain healthy.

is true, my problem with spain is that i have the impression....that there is no space for "modest team players" to make a name like happened more often in italy and england............for example this season gerard moreno with 18 goals and ocampos with 14 were the stars of the "middle table" but isnt like that they are inmobile, duvan, jimenez, vardy, ings......maybe is a bias.

leicester City and wolves were in champions league race the whole time

Atalanta and Lazio were in the fight for the title till the end. Think those 2 BS pks against Juve screwed Atalantas faint title shot. Lazio just didn’t have a deep enough roster. If games weren’t every 3 days they might have won the title.

comparing that to a team that got demoted..... or even if they sent him to Udinese. That is a mid table team. If he had a 12 goal season he going to a bigger club. Issue is he needs a EU passport. Which hopefully he gets if he stays in Spain for another season

haha I use to work in Abercombie and Hollister in high school. I don't think either exist any more but man I remember college when kids from Asia or South America came. The first thing they would ask is where do I find the nearest Abercombie.

So Cucho has been starting the pre season friendlies, playing up top with another striker. He assisted in both matches.

I would've liked him to continue playing LW like he did last season, but this dude Cucurella got that position on lock.

I don't think he would be a good fit playing the Cucurella position for Getafe, he stays pretty wide works a ton defensively and doesn't really get close to goal all that often. Playing in the front 2 of a 4-4-2 probably fits Cucho really well since he's not really a wide player and not really a central striker necessarily. This system allows him to get close to goal while also giving him freedom to roam around a bit more and drift. I think Cucho could play the LW but it would be a waste of his ability close to goal imo.

Yeah, Cucurella is more of an LM than an LW.

Cucho cutting in last year looked good. I worry about how he'll do with the added pressure up front.
