That’s what i said to my friends when tv showed CP without crutches. I’d want to believe the medical staff wouldn’t allow him to go without crutches if it were a severe injury. But i would still think he needs a few weeks of rest. If not more.

Oh it's definitely possible that it is... I think they just decided it wasn't, but you could make a case either way. I'm sure they did review it.

The rule with VAR is anything 50/50 that is a subjective call, ie that is not the attacking handball or an offside call, VAR is going to tend to just side with the ref's original call for the most part. This is how the prem does it, and because of that FIFA is stepping in next season and dictating what this should look like, because the prem has messed this up through their own protocol and also due to them not using monitors.

For instance in the league this season, VAR has only reversed I think 2 or 3 penalty calls? When the ref gives a pen, in the prem, VAR tends to just back him. Next year they will say go to the monitor, and he will, and he'll maybe make his own decision about the call with a 2nd look, and I think we will see more changes of subjective decisions as a result.

Yeah, certainly not Grade 3 as that is like getting shot in the hammy. His initial reaction makes it seem more than Grade 1. My guess is Grade 2 and hopefully one that leans more towards Grade 1. Each grade involves tearing of muscle fibre, just a matter of how many although Grade 3 is more of a complete rupture.
