So, was listening to the Politics Podcast and they mentioned the Individual One had raised $1B since 2017, but only had $113mil on hand. Where the ******** did $900mil go in 3 years? That needs to be investigated hard.
If it had been a couple of hundred million, yeah. But 900 million? How is that unnoticed? Also, more Lincoln Project. But this one I'm posting only because it shows the poling station I voted at in the Primary.
This doesn’t upset me that much. First...they’ll eventually get caught. Two...there not going to have any money left this fall increasing the likelihood of the first thing
I've posted about this before. Much of what Fraudscale was doing is a churn scam. They raise lots of money which is then reinvested into raising more money via email, text, facebook Every cycle all the grifters skim off large amounts of cash So it is not like they had a billion in the bank They keep spending the money to raise more The deathstar is an elaborate scam IMO
While I am the first in line for proper data protection laws, the President banning Tiktok is getting pretty fashy
Yes but isnt Georgia, the cheaper date? They are cheaper than Ohio with its three major cities and North Cakcalaka with its media markets.
So much of the population is in Atlanta and its suburbs. The question is what percent of people there are swing voters compared to the percent of people in smaller cities or rural areas of Georgia who are swing voters. If you look at Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin as safe for Biden or just needing a little money, one market to advertise in that won't be too expensive is Des Moines. Iowa could be close for president, senator, and up to three of the four House districts. From Des Moines you don't have to go far to get to all four House districts. The district shapes are close to rectangles with 1 in the northeast, 2 in the southeast, 3 in the southwest (including Des Moines), and 4 in the northwest. District 4 had white supremacist Steve King lose a primary. In 2016, Trump won all four districts, and 2 was the only one who elected a Democrat. In 2018, Democratic women defeated Republican incumbents in 1 and 3. Democrat Dave Loebsack from District 2 is retiring. A family I watch on YouTube just made videos of why they quit TikTok. I didn't watch these videos, and I don't watch TikTok, but I have a conspiracy theory. I'm guessing my theory wasn't mentioned and isn't true, but they're religious Republicans, and I wonder if the parents made the family quit thinking about the possibility of Trump banning TikTok and supporting Trump in general even if they don't support banning TikTok. Trump talked about banning TikTok within the last couple of weeks before yesterday's comments.
By the way, isn't banning Tik Tok a slap-me-in-the-goddamned-face obvious violation of the first amendment? Has there ever been another app that was banned via government decree? This is all Sarah Cooper's fault, isn't it?
Yes, and fwiw Georgia is in fact cheaper than Ohio right now (though my guess is that this is the last cycle that'll be the case). I don't think it'll be Abrams, but I still think there's a strong argument for her to be on the ticket. There is a legit chance to take two senate seats here, and every little bit helps.
IANAL but... Real talk for you Matt, it’s going to depend if this subsection of International Emergency Economic Powers Act (which otherwise lets President do anything involving foreign country or entity) applies. I don’t know if it does, and If I don’t obviously no one else does either. pic.twitter.com/1kc1jqE8m3— Carlos Mucha (@mucha_carlos) August 1, 2020
Perhaps? But they aren’t necessarily banning TikTok as much as they are forcing TikTok to sell it’s US operations.
I'm not a first amendment scholar so please explain to me how a corporation doesn't have freedom of speech protection inside the USA because they're a foreign national?
Seems to have been big month for the Biden fundraising. Just got a text from the campaign thanking for my contribution and announcing they have reached their goal for July. In June, they got $141 M, Would not be surprised if they reach $ 150M. Money is pouring now.
