Isn't Nathan Harriel a right back? He's already lined up to join the senior team next year so feels like Mbaizo's days might be numbered.
In past years I would have said helicopter fuel but I'm starting to think it might be reinvested in the academy or scouting. Hope I'm not lining up to kick a football held by Lucy on this one.
So...with LAFC bowing out tonight does this make the Union the "favorites" to win the MLSisBACK all the marbles tourney?
All strong teams now but w/ LAFC out yes I think Philly has to be the favorites. Don’t rest on Orlando though.
Group A turned out to be the toughest group. Top 2 finishers still in with the 3rd place finisher among the teams vying for spot in the final 4. Not sure how I'd feel about a rematch with NYCFC.
Yeah, unless Mbaizo somehow overtook Gaddis as a starter which seems very unlikely. Of course, it happened once before when Keegan won the starting job.
Not sure where to post transfer rumors, but apparently Gladbach wants Aaronson. A bit surprising given their position on the table. I expected mid to lower table. Bundlesliga summer transfer window goes through October. I’m curious how much we might get. He’s just such a different sort of player, hard to gauge what his value might be. The fact that they’ve been saying multiple European teams have interest makes me suspect that we might get more than we think for him. Just not sure what that is. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2020...aronson-bundesligas-gladbach-summer-wish-list
Unless a significant factor in their interest is that they think they can get him for cheap. I have read that part of the appeal of buying American MLS players for Euro clubs is that they liken it to shopping at Dollar General. Perhaps that will start to change after the success of Weston McKennie, Tyler Adams, etc., but we'll see.
