.@GovStitt's office has confirmed Oklahoma is not adhering to White House recommendations on coronavirus response measures. "[T]he White House confirmed that these are not mandates and that the State is not out of compliance with any federal orders."https://t.co/Z1oIsSPPzo— Chris Polansky (@ChrisKPolansky) July 31, 2020
I'm assuming you mean cases? Because today Florida is leading the nation in deaths so far, and they have 256.
Yeah, that's the thing... When I was a young'un, there were exactly two ways you might discover new music: 1) you would hear a song you like on the radio and 2) someone would say, "hey man, check out this new record I just bought..." Radio in the 70s was limited, at least where I lived, but compared to today, where all radio is in some kind of pre-programmed "format" radio was like the wild-wild west--you might get a DJ (especially on some obscure FM station at the end of the dial) who would play something different. People today can discover all kinds of music from literally all over the planet, and that's never a bad thing.
Why is that funny? Seriously, kids are infected and you are laughing? What kind of agency do the kids have?
I might have been your dad. Ooop just joking. That was before they became the Silver Beatles. (They painted their Wellington boots silver) that was before they became the one and only Beatles! John, Paul, George, Stu and Pete.
Or John McCain. Or John Dingell. We will wait. Damn, maybe Trump just hates "Johns." Kinda hard to believe when he himself was a "John" for so many different women (forced or willingly).
How in holy hell has JK Rowling been cancelled for having a marginally different perspective on trans people and child rapist Michael Jackson is still cool? America ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That was just the nail in the coffin, tbh. Rowlings has been f**king with the Potterverse via social media for years and it's been annoying fans to the point many were already turning on her. Her view on trans people just gave others the final nudge to turn her out entirely.
Yes, cases. Our death count is low now ... because we're now 3-4 weeks after our case lows. It will be rising.soon enough.
What? Has she been banned from Twitter? Are her books no longer for sale? If "canceled" means criticized, then it means nothing. And there was literally a whole movie made about Michael Jackson's behavior. How is the reaction to them comparable?
The man is dead only because a conservative is President of the United States of America. The other side freely provided the information required for him to stay safe. He didn't listen because he adhered to the very same philosophy as the President.
I understand not wanting to contribute money toward artists who’ve done awful things. I don’t understand completely rejecting the artistic output of artists because they did awful things.
Well the TL;DR is that she's still alive and being a bitch and MJ is dead, but he's never been in my song rotation
Ah, Jack Mormon. I lived in Park City before the Mormon Church and before Deer Valley. A friend of ours was excommunicated on her doorstep. Hell of a party that night.
Study finds that children under 5 have a viral load 10-100 times higher than older children and adults. Stay at home orders may prevented them from spreading the illness, but if schools and such re-open, that would seem to indicate they could be "super-spreaders". Further studies and such are necessary to confirm and whether they are spreaders or not, of course. https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/30/heal...l-load-transmission-study-wellness/index.html
Deaths are slowly inching up. 1,300 deaths were reported today. "Good" news is that the number of new cases is down, but so is the number of tests. Bad news is that the positivity rate is up.
