Oh yeah. I never said he was underserved of his red card. Just that I liked his passion for the club. Wish he could have cleaned up some of that other stuff
Know it alls bother me much less than angry posters repeatedly calling other posters “twats” and telling other posters to GTFO, or directing ire at someone solely because of where they live or where they are from. Especially non-RM posters who come here to join in discussions without ill intentions. He earned his red.
Not that I have anything against two people chatting privately, but I have yet to use that feature. As you say, it's always wise to err on the side of caution. Hypothetically, I'd be more *concerned* about the IP address information that may be accessible, although there are ways around that.
LeBron, NBA owners and stars are well off. If 500 M revenue from China stops, it will affect everyone including many on minimum salary. If league wants to take a stand, fine. But why should an individual player take the responsibility of everyone losing money? He'd be the most hated player among his peers for taking money out of their pockets. Besides, these things should be handled at political leadership level and in the UN. LeBron speaking against China won't have any impact other than them cancelling NBA contract and sponsorships from China.
All hypocrites. They never said anything about Messi and the Barca squad for taking pictures with Netanyahu. The world is full of hypocrites and Ozil did the right thing to quit the National team. They always blamed him when they lost anyway.
Not just the NBA. PL, La Liga and every sports league that refuses to voice their opinion due to revenue from China.
This is the last French league Cup apparently. Only England will have two domestic cups from now on in Top 5 leagues.
PSG wins 6-5 in penalties but they were hardly threatening for 120 minutes. Unfortunately Lyons keeper was terrible in the shootout
NBA can survive very well without China market. They make more money with it, but it's not a necessity. Some jobs would go away ? Sales ? That's life. Jobs come and go. The problem comes when leagues and players start taking strong public stance on social issues. Wether it's fair or not, they will get criticized if there is a sniff of hypocrisy. Specially because it typically involves protecting money.
I respect your opinion. I just find it very concerning China has over a million people in a camp behind barbed wire because of their religion. This is major crimes against humanity & reminding me of some ww2 type stuff going on. Shockingly no one is really talking about it.
I gotta say I was/am disappointed with the NBA and players stance on China sometimes taking a stand hurts your wallet, but it still is necessary
1289282802806951936 is not a valid tweet id According to the Italian press, Josip Ilicic traveled to his native Slovenia to be with his family. The worst of the news is that Ilicic is said to have discovered his wife with another man. Josip, as it is said, went into depression and would be thinking of retiring from football. ___________ Atalanta top scorer Ilicic likely to miss Champions League clash with PSG, manager Gasperini confirms https://www.goal.com/en/news/atalan...ague-psg-gasperini/1goxbtmwetya416r0dty0xxf6t

Apparently Nike wasn't giving Turkish NBA player Enes Kanter a shoe deal because of his comments against Erdogan. Then they come out with Kappernick ad that says "Believe in something, even if means sacrificing everything". These situations are not simple, but when you come out with that sort of message, you'd think you'd have to back it up.
This is the same company (Nike) that used sweatshop labor to make shoes. Anyone who takes direction in life from a major retail company I would have to assume is simple minded.
Yes, I am reading the private messages people send me. I'm sorry that people send me what you tell them via pm. Learn to trust better people. I honestly find people's obsession with me amazingly weird. We have one of the most active, diverse communities on bigsoccer. We even have multiple Barça fans posting in here, Bayern fans, multiple Premier league fans, and this works like a charm. I actually WANT other teams fans to contribute here. Which is why I openly defend guys like @celito or @BocaFan when they're simply having a contrarian opinion while not going at anybody. I'd rather have other teams fans that enrich our group, than Real Madrid fans that incite anger and cause issues all the time. This place used to be a lot more aggressive in times past, and I believe the fact that we have one problem with a user per year or so despite how much movement is here makes people assume we're being extra with this, when we used to ban a guy per week many years ago.
What the ********?!? This is pretty crazy and to happen right before the CL game makes it even more so. Shame he will miss out but def feel for Ilicic. Sucks for Atalanta.
He's actually English, It was more Liverpool being too good. They almost set a points record and went the entire season unbeaten.
Ozil was 100% right about the racism. He was German when they were winning and he became the lazy Turk when they lost. The idea that he cannot meet or be friends with Erdogan but his predecessors can meet Tony Blair happily and without censure is a form of racism.
