LAFC uses their first position in the allocation order to sign Andy Najar, who should be with the team for the Orlando tourney. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2020...-honduras-international-andy-najar-tom-bogert
He's been training with the team since preseason. So, if healthy, should feature prominently in the tourney. Overlaps into offense will be necessary with no Vela so Andy may need to play in a wing role.

FCD has signed its 29th homegrown player. Carlos has represented both the US and Mexico at the youth levels. 𝒪𝓃𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝑜𝓌𝓃We have officially signed goalkeeper Carlos Avilez to a Homegrown Deal. Avilez is our league-leading 29th Homegrown Player.📰: https://t.co/mwTIZqgsB3 pic.twitter.com/Kpo4Bjkv1P— FC Dallas (@FCDallas) June 18, 2020
Montreal, Houston, and Seattle have all signed two homegrowns apiece in the past week or so. Montreal signed Tomas Giraldo (17) and Keesean Ferdinand (16). Houston signed Juan Castilla (15) to a deal that starts in 2021 and Nico Lemoine (20) starting this year. Seattle signed Josh Atencio (18) and Ethan Dobbelaere (17). Also Portland signed Pablo Bonilla from their USL side as Jorge Moreira heads back to River Plate.
LA Galaxy sign Kai Koreniuk from Los Dos. They also add Carlos Harvey, on loan to the first team from Galaxy II for the duration of the MLS is Back tournament.
Rapids sign Collen Warner https://www.coloradorapids.com/post...an-midfielder-collen-warner-one-year-contract Also an update on Galvan, he's in Colorado and will join the team in Orlando once he completes his mandatory quarantine Braian Galvan update, per source: Galvan is currently in Colorado after traveling from Argentina and is in mandatory quarantine, per gov't travel requirements. He will head to Orlando with the team for the MLS is Back Tournament when quarantine is up #Rapids96— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) June 30, 2020
The Rapids and Sam Nicholson mutually agree to terminate his contract. Talk is that something is going on at home (Scotland) that Sam needs to return to. Presumably something long-term if they're cancelling his contract.
Collen Warner joins the long list of people who have played for both sides in the Rocky Mountain Cup. Also: Omar Gonzalez apparently left TFC to become Communication Director for the Rapids.
LAFC sign three Homegrowns. One of them is with the team in Orlando and available for the MLS is Back Tournament. All three are on the 2020 first-team roster (i.e. not pre-contracts). https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2020/07/08/lafc-make-first-three-homegrown-signings-clubs-history
Revs sign Matt Polster. https://www.revolutionsoccer.net/po...gn-defendermidfielder-matt-polster-rangers-fc They also signed Collin Verfurth from Revs II on July 6.
Botond Barath headed back to Hungary. https://www.sportingkc.com/post/202...barath-former-club-budapest-honved-fc-hungary
So Portland have got a 4th round pick in 2023 from RSL in exchange for Ryan Sierakowski. However, he really was traded to Real Monarchs from T2. If he ends up being signed by RSL then the 4th round pick turns into a 2nd round pick.
Rapids get an international spot from DC for this year and next year (so they can officially register Galvan) in exchange for $200K of GAM next year plus possibly $25K of GAM in 2022. https://www.coloradorapids.com/post...ernational-roster-spot-dc-united-july-12-2020
So, the first U-22 player initiative signing by an existing club has probably been made: Our newest threat 💥#ATLUTD2 signs Paraguayan attacker Erik López.INFO: https://t.co/ilMM4EpPpi pic.twitter.com/fetgqcSWL2— ATL UTD 2 (@atlutd2) July 18, 2020 If he was to be signed by Atlanta to the first team prior to 2021 I'd assume he'd hit the cap at the regular rate from here on out. By waiting until 2021 they can get him in at whatever cap hit they will make those U-22 signings cost.
Philadelphia Union sign another Home Grown Player: https://www.philadelphiaunion.com/p...gn-defender-nathan-harriel-homegrown-contract 🚨In 2021, @nateharriel is joining us as a homegrown signing💪He will be on @PhilaUnionII this season before making the move to @MLS!⚡Welcome to the family!⚡📝👉https://t.co/YoJGWjfmIW pic.twitter.com/ARf0NZd6wJ— Philadelphia Union (@PhilaUnion) July 17, 2020
