I'm replaying Bioshock in the very pretty remastered edition. Still an absolute masterpiece of a game. Absolutely fantastic.

    Never played Origins.

I hadn't played any AC games since Black Flag. Very happy I jumped back in with Odyssey.

Finally finished The Last Of Us 2, and loved it.

It was a bit too long, there's a bit too much triangle hunting, and a few of the emotional chords it tried to hit didn't land (enemy NPC's shouting out the names of their fallen comrades was a gimmick that did nothing) but overall it was an incredible game with really fun gameplay, solid writing, and a great story.

I had the part of the game that everyone is angry about spoiled for me when the leaks happened. I wasn't happy about it, but overtime I got over it and went in with an open mind when the game came out.

I thought that part of the game was really well done. Can't say much else without spoilers

So finished all three main quest lines in AC: Odyssey and all three endings kind of underwhelmed? Especially the cult one. What the ******** was that?

Still have some side-quest to mop up and didn't even visit some of the smaller island and Macedonia (which is odd because I was sure at least one of the quest lines would take you there?).

Still, first such game I've sort of finished since The Witcher: Wild Hunt.

    Just a public service announcement.

You can currently buy the entire Far Cry franchise for roughly 45€ (without DLCs) on Steam and the Ubisoft store.

    Far Cry 1-4 & Primal

Far Cry 5 & New Dawn

Assassins Creed games are also heavily discounted.

All these crappy game launchers need too many damn updates.

Steam, Uplay, Origin, EpicGames, Battlenet, GOG and Bethesda and 2K have their own launchers as well.

    It's annoying as hell.

Finished AC: Odyssey for the most part. I should go back and mop up some locations I did not finish but I can't say for sure that I will. Ultimately the resolution of all three main quest lines felt a bit underwhelming. Still a great, great game, but the journey is far better than the destination.

Now moved on to Desperados III, which is almost quaint in the old-fashionedness of its gameplay, but a lot of fun. If you're not familiar with the franchise (and the previous entry is 14 years old!), it's kind of like "Commandos but a western".

The really important question first: which ship crew did you use?

Man, I had for gotten how bad and cringeworthy the dialogue in Far Cry 3 was. Simply terrible.

    Done with Desperados III.

It was fun, enjoyable if you enjoyed the original two games (especially the first one).

I did think that Isabelle's connect power was somewhat unbalanced compared to the other team members abilities. Especially combined with other skills. On the other hand, there are definitely some moments you couldn't quite get past without it.

Anyone have some more suggestions? Doesn't have to be a very recent game, just played through and greatly enjoyed AC: Odyssey.

Doom Eternal as an entertaining action-packed palate cleanser after AC: Odyssey?

I have unfinished campaigns on all three of ME: Andromeda, Divinity: Original Sin II and Borderlands II but it's now been so long that returning to them would mean I'd probably better start from scratch. I guess getting Borderlands III is an option.

Loved the original, had no idea it was getting a remaster. Also, never got around to playing the third one.

Its a remake not a remaster.

The third is only worth it for the story, the open world isn't very interesting and the missions are very repetitive. That being said, the shooting mechanics are excellent and the story is very good, though the setting is very different from the other Mafia games.

Its an enjoyable enough game if you beeline the main story

Checked my D:OS2 campaign status. Was around 33 hours in when I called it quits apparently. Decided to give it another go in spite of the fact that story wise I had forgotten most of it. First bit of combat, ran into big trouble, then realized you kind of need to know what you're doing by that point. So started a new campaign. :ROFLMAO:
Here's me back to trying to escape Fort Joy.

I only had time for Pillars of Eternity or Divinity 1 back when they first released. I picked the former. Despite the great reviews I never touched Divinity 2 because I hadn't played the first game. How essential is it to understand the story?

Not much since I only played a few hours of D:OS and I can make sense of the sequel just fine.

It isn't at all essential, there are a few references to first game and some characters but the lore in DOS2 gives you a good idea of what went down

I don't even understand what is going on in Rainbow Six Siege. I was supposedly in a mode for new players to learn the game, but it was obviously full of experienced players as well. Our team full of newbs got killed again and again within 20 seconds of play.

I died five times without even seeing the person who killed me. LOL

Had I bought the GPU three days later I would have gotten a free copy of Death Stranding instead of this crap. *sigh*
