Can’t wait for Raul Jiminez to head two in over Dave at the back post. Such a glaring weakness in the lineup and tactics here by Frank.
So you would have picked the 3 conventional centre halfs, or had 4 at the back. We have been vunerable at the back post for a few seasons now, and I agree that Dave is not the best in the air
I think I read that Dave leads the team in tackles and interception and one of our better leaders, why he plays, and Lamp has adjusted where AZ lines up on set plays finally last few
FA Cup every day of the week! It's a trophy, the oldest football trophy in the world. The FA cup still means something here in the UK. Win the cup and you are one of only 3 or 4 (sometimes only 2) clubs to actually pick up some silver! Champions League qualification would be good but we are unlikely to win that next year!
Kepa ain't playing, there is a lot of talk in the UK that he might be finished in England, he is bottom of most goalkeeping stats for this season, it pains me to say it but he has not been good enough, especially when you take into account the transfer fee! Whatever happens I appreciate his efforts and wish him well.
Literally all of these thoughts have been expressed on this board over and over again. Christ. Jorginho with the start lmao. Oh man. Thats rich.
I am!? If you look you will see my post was responding to a previous post, just because you disagree with me there is no need for petulance.
4 at the back. Jimenez is 6’3. Easier to isolate him on Dave in a 3 at the back. Wingback system with Jorginho in midfield needing to track back is a recipe for disaster against such a good counterattacking team.
I expect that Crawleybus and myself are of a similar vintage and have fond memories of the cup. I remember as a youth wondering if we would ever win the cup
Weird.. Willy in goal and we look every single bit as vulnerable. This is going to be a long game. Prayers up.
Chris mad at himself for a couple of poor balls (not that he had many options so think hes being harsh on himself). Need him to be on it today.
I think he is well aware of the expectations placed upon him following his performance at Liverpool. He likely feels like he “has” to make something happen. Hopefully he can just play his game and not let any undue pressure or expectation get in the way.
Left back's an obvious upgrade IMO. Alonso's scored some important goals but his decision making is generally poor.
