Everyone who even thinks about 20/20 is totally nuts. No, nuttier than totally nuts. https://www.newindianexpress.com/sp...iker Lionel Messi,Barcelona defeated them 1-0.
He will excel whenever he plays. PT = f (injuries, other things). He will always create a high number of chances per minute.
Should be a pretty short analysis. Two dudes have ever done that in a top 5 league, one is He Who Shall Not Be Named and the other is that guy who was just ok with NYRB. The NYRB guy is the only one to even hit 20 assists in the EPL.
I agree that with the firepower Chelsea has next year it would be an error to bet on huge numbers for any one player. I do expect CP’s assist per minute number to go up, though. He breaks down defenses and this year a lot of his dishes were not converted. I expect that will change with Haavertz and Werner on the receiving end.
I'm curious who Lampard was addressing there with that "only league title you've ever won" comment (assuming it's been transcribed properly). If it was Klopp like that summary above suggests, well Klopp has won several league titles, including a couple with Borussia Dortmund. Although based on Lampard's comments earlier in the season regarding Pulisic, he may not consider the Bundesliga a legitimate "league."
League play? Yes, nearly impossible. Across all competitions? EPL, CL, Cups? Possible, though not very likely. 15 goals and 10 assists total? Yes, very likely next season for him if healthy.
Did he say this in an airport lounge? "To be honest, I think it was... I've seen the video and I was obviously there," he said. "In terms of the language I used, I do regret that. These things get replayed a lot on social media. I've got two young daughters on social media so I regret that. "In terms of regretting having the passion to defend my team, no. I could have maybe handled it slightly differently to keep that language in but what I felt was, and I want to be clear about this actually as some of the reports were that I was upset with the celebrating of the Liverpool team." "I was obviously there..." ya think? What a yoohoo.
He’d need to become the club’s penalty taker to get to 20 goals and I don’t see him ever getting 20 assists. Would love to be wrong though.
I’m not saying 20/20 is easy but Messi did that in La Liga only. If you include Copa del Rey and Champions League it’s a lot higher (not sure how many more and I am too lazy to check). The 20/20 prediction for Pulisic i believe was inclusive of all competitions.
If he even hits 20/10 for a couple seasons in a row, he will be off to Spain in 2022. Hazard only got remotely close to 20g once(21 in 2019/20)
Nope, I think CP is a better finisher and has more potential to score 15 plus every year especially with better players around him. Madrid has one player consistently scoring over 15 a season. I’m saying that CP could soon be at Eden’s level and, if so, he’ll be getting calls from a few teams in warmer weather. That said, he could surpass Eden if he stays healthy. I think Pulisic’s ceiling is likely Salah.
We'll see. I actually think Pulisic plays pretty well with a guy like Abraham. The downside is that Abraham seems to have no ability to head the ball. That limits assist opportunities there. As does Pulisic not taking corners. I mean, to have any chance at 20-20 you gotta take penalties, corners and free kicks. I believe he can be that guy in a couple years. But it won't be happening in 2020-21.
Seems very unlikely, despite the cogency of the argument about a congested attacking core at Chelsea next year. This phrase, tossed off as if it was common knowledge in the piece, represents the idea that caused fireworks here over the last few months: “... he isn't entirely yet to convince Lampard and his coaches ...”
