Don't forget the originals, the Celts in 390 BC.

And honestly, I don't think our defense could stop Celtic nowadays either ;)

More whispers that Frank is apparently over Kepa and our likely next target is a keeper. Probably not a mega signing but a proven entity that will act as strong competition for Kepa. This is a much better move imo.. a mega signing to replace the bust mega signing is idiotic. #megasigning

More importantly.. apparently we may have a buy back option for Ake still. Now THAT would be a move I'd like to see done asap. This is shaping up to a really frustrating season ahead of us if we don't sign a CB and a LB.

MORE importantly still.. Jorginho apparently top of the list for Juve still. Uh, where the ******** do we sign? Jorg out and a proper 6 in would be sensational.

A move for Billy the Fish would be awesome. He should have that half fish discount to keep the cost down but is proven quality.

Juve don’t want to pay all cash for Jorgy tho. They want to offer a player. Outside of Sandro, De Ligt and Dylaba (who we won’t need once we lock down Kai) they don’t really have anything I’d want.

We want cash for Jorgy, Michy, Ross, 1 of Alonso or Emerson, 1 of Kurt or AC, Drinkwater (never happening), Baka and any of our players on loan that are surplus.

Trying to beat The Sun to the scoop by throwing it out there. No doubt Tancredi Palmieri will be retweeting this within hours :D

If they send over a few signed copies of Cristiano Ronaldo photos we could clean up on ebay. As good as cash and probably better defensively.

Isn’t elseid hysaj available on a free? I think we should look to snag him. We were linked in the past. Can play LB or RB. Is 6 ft so he brings some height. Has decent speed. Good with the ball.

We have an actual wage structure, Henderson isn't getting £170k a week.

Oblak Update. Atletico Madrid have some serious money problems that they can resolve by selling one of Oblak or Saul but will fight to keep Koke and Gimenez. You can reasonably expect one to leave and Oblak has issues with one of the staff members apparently.

Saul Niguez (CM) would have been available to replace Paul Pogba but it is looking less likely now that Pogba will leave Man U. Atletico will sell another to raise funds and look to keep Saul.

Maybe the Jan Oblak rumours actually have some truth?

Other options might be that American goalkeeper Sylvester Stallone?

There is also talk in the Daily Mail that Jan Oblak will go to united to replace De Gea and therefore Henderson would come available to us.

July 27th the transfer window opens.

Dodgy handling from Stallone though. But commanding, and decent distribution. Penalty specialist, of course.

Jamie Redknapp who of course is Frank's cousin basically just let the cat out of the bag that Chelsea will be looking to sign a goalkeeper. Not a huge surprise but seems to confirm it.

Massive win for the club to get CL on the heels of Hazard and transfer ban

Now we have the opportunity in a unique market to address our issues

I would expect Havertz talk to close fairly quickly and then we move on to GK and a defender

Lots of talk that Chelsea and Willian have reached an agreement on the contract situation, and Willian could sign a new deal by the end of this week.

    Kai talk too.

Time for CHO to go out on loan.

    If true, this is great!

Not sure why Willy would do it though? With all the attacking options we have coming in, plus the need to give more minutes to young guys, it feels like he'll be playing more of a reserve role. Maybe he recognizes that at his age, that role at a club where he's loved it better than more playing time on a lesser team.

He's a professional through and I can see him adapting to a bench role well, helping out with the younger guys, not complaining, and stepping up when we need him (a la OG this season).
