And that's a winner! Someone who watched it should comment...

I did watch it but didn't catch any of the pregame, anybody hear anything about why Besler didn't play?

In any case, thought it was a fairly decent performance. First goal was pretty lucky, and teams were pretty evenly matched, but in the end RSL did not really produce any clear cut chances while we had several.

Standout player to me was Hernandez from SKCII, who got subbed in early second half. Really impressive both on the defensive as well as offensive side of things. Still wish we'd have a Soni Mustivar kind of player that we can sub in to close off games.

Russell, despite the goal again looked out of form to me. Surprised it took Vermes so long to sub him off.

Very happy to see the clean sheet. A win is nice but a back line that didn't get torn apart all game? That's the kind of shit I'm here for.

Good start to the game. Last 20-25 minutes of the first half was very poor with no possession. Second half was much better, all of Sporting’s subs outplayed RSL subs, so that was very positive.

I didn't get to see the game (at work, will watch tonight) but I was a big fan of Hernandez (Felipe 2.0) last year. I think he will be very good for the club long term and has a roll to play in the midfield this year, especially with Felipe 1.0 out for the season. He and Busio provide good midfield depth.

Yep, we started well. Lost it for the final half or so of the first half and controlled the second half.

rsl definitely looked to have fallen victim to the morning start time. they were still in bed on that corner in the first minute.

better, more complete performance from the boys today. i was worried in the first half when the right half of our back 4 kept getting exposed. the grahams looked like a sieve that were gonna be exploited all day.
