Have those numbers been corrected, or has everyone still officially died of pneumonia in Florida, and not COVID?

The Florida death numbers will be accurate several years from now, if truth ever has a come back.

In other Covid news: West Virginia continues to have outbreaks. Can’t find any info on a suspected patient zero yet.

Trump became loud and slippery when he felt cornered. Then added his favourite “it’ll just go away” with the added “eventually”
Hard to call him wrong in a few years.

When Trump mentioned Brazil and Mexico ... he should have countered with they are taking the same failed approach we are and then brought up the countries that took different successful approaches. He also let it slip by when Trump said other countries in Europe are doing better now because they were hit earlier.

I know he only had so much time to talk about the issue, but I think he could have nailed the points better.

classic Trump, like the added "I hope" at the end. that plus the standard "many people are saying" ends up with 90% of what he says being meaningless. at least Dubya never said "Mission Accomplished. I hope."

apropos the Chris Wallace points above - why do all journos let Trump away with it? go at him again and again ffs. he'll lose it, bigly, eventually.

Dubya had to say it 7 times before he had to quit. Mission Accomplished hasn’t been achieved .....yet! :)

  8. As I already some weeks ago mentioned the Vaccin Four already bought 300 million doses of the vaccin before any success was booked. Iirc at that time also the preparations for the production were started. This ment the Vaccin Four took a huge gamble as when it was not usable hundreds of millions are wasted.

My wife's aunt has tested positive on Sunday and was put on a vent yesterday after being found unresponsive - ER gave her a 50/50 chance, but isn't doing well.

On top of all of this, she's had persistent mental health issues for years, now compounded by dementia. I'm hopeful she can walk on and be at rest and in full peace again with her husband

From the start they said vaccine companies would ramp up production capability before vaccine was proven. So that's normal.

Because if they do press, Trump’s handlers will swoop in and end the interview and they’ll lose access.

That was the surprising part, but even then, there is only so far that a Fox News employee can go.

Wallace is one of the few real journalist fox has, so they give him leeway to maintain the appearances of legit news organization.

I am surprised Trump agreed to it, I guess the handlers felt like softball interviews with Hannidy were not doing the trick.

While true, Wallace does still tend to go light on Republicans for the most part. He will periodically go off on them, but even then, it seems to be calculated.

My neighbor’s mom was on a ventilator for over two months. Then ECMO, then she was put on a list for lung transplant. But then her condition deteriorated and they pulled the plug. She was only 57, as well. Jeebus. And the son and his wife are both restaurant people and lost their jobs. COVID really rocked their world.

    A few things:

1 - Mom said last night that she has no clue how accurate the reports are in Florida about the deaths/positives. The numbers are so unreliable she has not trust in them. None.
2 - She is also fearful for the teachers and students going back to school. And only tangentially knows somebody with kids going to school, and knows no teachers. And she is scared for them.
    3 - Speaking of schools...

Milwaukee Schools Say They Were Blindsided By Health Department Order Banning In-Person Classes

    https://www.wuwm.com/post/milwaukee...artment-order-banning-person-classes#stream/0

Over the last few weeks, Milwaukee school leaders in K-12 and higher education have been putting their final touches on plans for the fall. But many of them didn't know that the decision about reopening schools might be out of their hands.

The Milwaukee Health Department quietly changed its restrictions on school openings in late June, when the city moved into Phase 4 of its coronavirus safety plan. In-person school with distancing measures was originally allowed in Phase 4. But the health department bumped school reopening to Phase 5.

It appears that when the health department made that change, it didn’t tell schools.

They made the change 3 weeks ago and told nobody? Unbelievable. I mean, good that there is no school, but 3 weeks is a hell of a lot of planning out the window.

    1) I was 18 in 1982.
    2) I am and was named JohnR
    3) I did drive an El Camino at a picnic grounds that I worked during the summer.
    4) Yep, Bartles & James time. Reminds me of the story of one of my best friends who drank too much B&J before, during, and after a Niners game. Passed out taking a piss with his pants at his ankles. Saw him the next day and had nice scabs all over his face for sliding down the hill on his face. Good times...
    5) Mickey's Big Mouth and Schlitz Talls baby. Stroh's was high class when it finally made it to CA.
