I believe the cap is at 5 from a nation. If City win UCL and Man U win EL then only the top 3 of the EPL go to UCL minus city/man u
Since we have another couple of days, let's think along with Mr IQ ... On the plus side: We're ahead of two CL challengers in the League, and we only have to outrun one of those bears, not both. Timing/scheduling favors us. We play the FA Cup Semifinal on Sunday with extra rest. We played on Tuesday, Man U played on Monday and Thursday. Assuming both teams play to win, in a game that might go 120 minutes that advantage could prove to be useful. When we play @ Liverpool on Wednesday, we'll know if we need a result, as LC plays @ Tottenham on Sunday and Man U hosts West Ham on Wednesday well before our game. Interestingly, to me at least, is that Tottenham's League game kicks off two hours before our Cup game on Sunday - giving us one more piece of information. Speaking of Liverpool, wtf? They'll be well-rested on Wednesday but who can guess their level of motivation. On the negative side: Our goal difference is poor, so we must finish ahead (of at least one CL challenger) on points. The FA Cup Semifinal falls at an awkward time, for play/rest purposes, though at least that's also true for Man U. Our lineup still seems vaguely unsettled, and the defense - including our much-maligned GK - has not impressed.
Leicester and Man United play one another in the last game of the season. I'm pretty sure they won't both get three points in that match. Mostly sure. VAR may change that. Leicester also play Spurs, in a Turopa battle, and United also play West Ham, trying to avoid collapsing into relegation (though that could be over with a win today). One win or two draws should do it; but neither a Europa-motivated Wolves or a disinterested Liverpool are an easy mark.

SEX WORKER![/QUOTE] I always picture a set of construction bags on a sex Worker when that term is used. Maybe even a cordless drill to boot
Max is 5. So if Chelsea finished 5th but somehow won the CL, and Wolves somehow won EL, 4th place (United or Leicester or whatever) would be booted.
So it's the end of the season. I'm curious on where he ranks in whether he gets in the running for young Player of the Season and club Player of the season. Or course he won't win, but he's gotta have a fair shot at a nomination.
AT CFC alone he has Mount and Tammy and either of them could still have a say in it due to recency bias and the stakes in these next two games. That is before we start looking at the league. I agree he at least deserves a mention.
Willian will get Chelsea player of the season. I do think CP gets young player of the year tho. Mount and Tammy slowed down and he’s come out on fire. If he has a memorable FA cup it will all but lock it up.
Lampard is attempting some mind games: https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...favouring-semi-final-rivals-manchester-united IMO, Chelsea might also have a player or two who can win a penalty!
It’s actually backed tho, Man U had been in the top of the league in VAR making calls for them and some of them aren’t legit. Chelsea is on the other end of the spectrum for VAR.
Apparently without VAR ManU would be 7th right now, so for them it’s been the difference between CL and not.
Exactly how I ended up seeing it. With film productions still shut down and this quarantine showing no sign of ending, I’m afraid I’m going to be reduced to watching old John Wayne movies soon.
