    We also don’t get to say it all the time, but thanks to all you guys and gals on here for keeping things interesting and joining each other to follow this wonderful club every day. I for one am proud of this board‘s energy, general positivity and consistency over the years I’ve been around. Not once has it ever gotten stale or slow here, winning or losing. That says something. Times like this make the insane amount of time we spend writing on here worth it.

    Well said! I have been around this place for a long time, mostly diligently reading and infrequently posting over the years. But as life has changed and slowed down during quarantine, I have been able to be more active on the board and really enjoy this strange but memorable La Liga title.

    As you mentioned, this forum has always been a place for positive, passionate, and intelligent discussion with fellow Madridistas that I am proud to have been a part of for so long. Congrats to everyone on the title, our club has a really bright future ahead of us in the coming years due to the smart planning our leadership has put into place.

    You moderators are good peeps to, lots of lively debate, many different opinions but we generally find a way to support and discuss the team in a way that's interesting, entertaining and original.

    Messi has 17 non-penalty goals while Benzema has 15 non-penalty goals...

    The idea about Messi not "helping" his team win is laughable, Barca wouldn't be anywhere near close to compete for LaLiga if it wasn't for Messi's individual brilliance. And Messi, even in his best years, always walked to conserve his energy whenever Barca have lost the possession.

    Even as a Benzema fan, it's embarrassing how people overrating Benzema when comparing him to Messi. The latter is a victim for his own greatness. Benzema would be run-away favorite for Ballon d'Or if he had any of Messi's "worst" seasons.

    To win ko format like UCL, goal scorers are needed, I don't want to dampen the spirits, but unlikely , may be with addition of Mbappe and further growth of Vinicius and Rodrygo we will be front runners once again.

    Real Madrid have Benzema, currently 4th highest scorer in UCL history.

    The problem is he is the only reliable goalscorer within the squad.

    Benzema's supporting cast up-front is terrible, he needs help.

    Sergio Ramos is the only player with double-digits in goals (outside Benz).

    Vinicius is the 2nd leading scorer among attackers with 3 goals.

    And he struggles badly to shoot to save his own damn life.

    You seem to forget Vinicius, Rodrygo are youngsters and need to be given time.
    Jovic should have chipped in but hasn't and Hazard been injured most of the time.

    As usual bbc didnt make a big deal of re madrid winning la liga...yet when barca win the league they put on interviews and phone in from ex players and say how wonderful life is because barca won

    El Capitan pulled us over the line with his calm penalties in the othee couple of games

    One good thing about this virus is that we have won the league and have time to rest and prepare for the champs league...man city will be motivated as they lost the epl.
