From the all touches video and the analysis above, the kid looks pretty reasonable in his possession, movement, vision, and long range passing. I would love to see a full game, but I don't foresee those guys being on TV any time soon. Illegal streams for me are not an option. I hope the kid gets called into a NT camp whenever that happens in future. He looks like an upgrade over Trapp at a minimum. He's probably a little bit of an overlap of Tyler Adams, at a much lower ability, so he may not get a call unless TA is injured.
Danish football is shown on ESPN+ once a week, and there’s a Cup match on today starting at 11:45 PST (I live in California).
I guess I could see that... but how much of that just has to do with their size/speed combo at that position? I am not sure I have seen enough of either to say they are all that similar. I saw Tessman to start the season for Dallas and that is already as many minutes as I have seen live from Cappis since they are hardly ever on ESPN+. One thing I do find interesting is that we tend to have a lot of USMNT prospects at the #6 position. It makes the whole idea of using Trapp laughable at best. I am eager to see a new set of position rankings from Eleven Bravo at the end of the season. He always seems to do a lot of research when he does it. Most still think Adams is our best #6... but who is next? Where does Cappis fit in?
They are few and far between because Hobro is so poor. ESPN+ generally covers a single game on a gameday and usually they are top-of-the-table. I have seen one game all year long and I have certainly been checking.
With Esbjerg winning yesterday, Hobro's lead over them for third in Relegation Round Group B is down to 2 points. Fourth in the group is automatically relegated while the third place teams in the two groups meet in a relegation playoff (as @Ceres went through here in the Sabbi thread).

With the win, Hobro IK swept their two relegation round matches over the last two match days against 4th placed Esbjerg. They are locked into third in their group and thus the relegation playoff with two match days to go.
I always felt Cappis' strength is his forward game. His defense still needs work. He is not afraid to mix it up but he needs work. He looks good in close quarters and gets out of a jam well.
It's amazing how people can look at the same thing and see two completely different things, but perspective matters. I know the league is not a great one from the standpoint of reputation, but the kid could do a lot worse than staying at the club a few more years and being the central cog in the midfield, playing week in and out. Most things seem to go through him, different than many of our other central middies for whom the ball seems to go over their heads both ways a lot (Adams, McKennie).

Relegation play-off's 2nd leg : Lyngby BK v Hobro IK, 2-2 (agg. 4-3, Hobro relegated) 0-1 Lasse Nielsen, Lyngby owngoal (8) YC: Edgar Babayan, Hobro (11) 1-1 Mathias Hebo Rasmussen (22) YC: Jesper Bøge, Hobro (57) 2-1 Rezan Corlu (68) YC: Emmanuel Sabbi, Hobro (73) 2-2 Edgar Babayan (76) YC: Martin Ørnskov, Lyngby (83.) YC: Christian Cappis, Hobro (83) YC: Frederik Winther, Lyngby (87) YC: Thomas Mikkelsen, Lyngby (90+3) YC: Pascal Gregor, Lyngby (90+6) RC: Edgar Babayan, Hobro IK (90+8) RC: Rezan Corlu, Lyngby (90+9) RC: Brandon Onkony, Hobro IK (90+9) Attendance : 2,400 (corona-restricted) Referee: Mads-Kristoffer Kristoffersen Hobro IK lineup: Jesper Rask – Mathias Haarup, Jesper Bøge, Rasmus Minor (C), Jacob Tjørnelund – Emmanuel Sabbi, Mikkel M.P., – Christian Cappis, Edgar Babayan – Pål Alexander Kirkevold, Imed Louati. -------------------- As you can also see in the highlights below, Sabbi made an "assist" for the Lyngby owngoal in his last game for Hobro in a tight and intense final leg of the relegation play-off's that became a festival of yellow and red cards. So close, but no cigar for Hobro, that just as well could have won this tie, but unfortunately suffered relegation. Sabbi will be moving to OB Odense, while keeper Jesper Rask has now retired. According to a mutual agreement, Yosef Samuel has left Hobro a year before his contract was suppose to expire, due to lack of minutes played, Kerim Memija, who has been on loan, has returned to Vejle BK, but It could also be a possible goodbye to captain and midfielder Jonas Brix-Damborg, vice captain Captain Rasmus Minor Petersen, defenders Nicholas Gotfredsen, Simon Jakobsen, Brandon Onkony and who are all at the end of their contracts.
Any insight on what will happen with Cappis? Will he go down to the lower division with them? Or is he well-regarded enough that some 1st-division team (in Denmark or elsewhere) will put in an offer for him?
Nothing as of yet, but he recently said that he would not be interested in a move to MLS, because the level of soccer is better in Europe... and quote : "- My development has been heading in the right direction this season and I get to play more and more. I feel it is going well, but at the same time I know that I still have a long way to go, to reach my top level, and I am working on that, so that one day I will also have the opportunity to move on." So it do not sound like he is going anywhere right now, but that was before the relegation and during the Corona virus break. otherwise there has only been this interview about his opinion about the Corona crisis, that you can google translate : https://www.bold.dk/fodbold/nyheder/hobro-amerikaner-kigger-nervoest-mod-usa/
