We discussed about this earlier. If I remember correctly, James said in an interview that he didn't know Zidane was about to return to Real Madrid. He made the choice to leave Bayern before Zidane was announced.

I don't think this will affect James and his tranfer, he is not known to be a difficult person. Perhaps and idiot but that's another story.

Everton and James has been linked to them. It wouldn't be a bad move he'd play has Mina and Ancelotti and he'd help them a lot. England seems likely since there's only so many teams that can match his wages and a fee and clubs in England definitely fit that bill, Everton attack and Ancelotti has gotten the best out of James, would be a way better move for him then Atleti imo.

Hear Mina might go to Valencia. Tho don’t mind Mina rotating. As when healthy seems like Everton rotates defenders. As long as he is fresh and healthy when wearing yellow is all that matters.

I don’t think James would work in England. Too slow and bad work rate. Think he could be perfect in Italy. AC Milan would be perfect for him or Napoli. Neither team pays anywhere near the wages James is making. Inter has Eriksen so doubt they’d get James even tho Eriksen is super over rated.

You'd think with Mendes he could probably engineer a move anywhere. It's awful to have wasted two seasons this way.

Falcao had his 3rd career ending injury before the 2014 WC. Still going strong. Just old now

James got his dream move because he took the NT and dragged it on his back at the WC. Got his dream move. Did well but then became obvious he was a bit of a diva.

got his career restart at Bayern. But chose to leave can be blamed on him or his management or Real as he probably wouldn’t have said no to Bayern if Zidane was returning.

think Falcaos fall was much less his fault

Falcao was much more injury related but Falcao made two very bad moves to Chelsea and to United that stalled his comeback. If he would have stayed at Monaco the whole time or not gone to Mourinho and Van Gaal teams he would have been playing a lot more a lot earlier, so he lost some years too going for the shiny move.

The best incarnation I remember of Falcao was at ATM though. That was still under Mendes no?

I think it so went awry with the loan deals to the BPL... Which I guess are fair to blame on Mendes...

how? Those moves happened while recovering from injury and both dream moves for Any player.

Man U was way too early of a return and he was still injured and scared of reinjury.

Chelsea the fking coach said that he would bring him back to past glory and then gave him 0 shots. Preferred a youth player.

those failures were due to injury and play style of the team. Falcao is slow don’t expect him to play like if it was fifa with the sprint button on.

also what if* no way of knowing. I think his first 6 months with Man U. At Monaco would be a wash. The Chelsea thing was more due to playing style and lack of faith/minutes

it’s like our What if James was healthy during the 2018 WC and we had A healthy Falcao that didn’t get injured before 2014. Or if Falcao had made it back before the WC and was actually able to perform.

no one knows. Would James be the top scorer of 2014 if Falcao was on the field? Would we had done as well even with a Super Saiyan Falcao. The team played a completely different style because it had to.

Bad advice from Mendes. A player should not move to a new league + top club while recovering from a major injury. The pressure to perform while still healing is a terrible combination.

Mendes should have had falcao stay at Monaco while he recovered his health, form, and confidence...then push for the dream transfer

J-Mezzy hits some of the points but you can't just go into a situation wind up on the bench and be like, wow who could have thought that Mourinho who plays defensive and with a single striker in a counter attacking system in a high intensity new league wouldn't have worked out? It's obvious to anyone paying attention that was a terrible move, and it turned out that way. United the same thing, you're just coming back from injury Van Gaal was a defensive counter attacking coach at that point and was not likely to play two forwards and it was high pressure and coming back from injury.

The "dream moves" are about emotion not about picking a situation that gives you the best chance of playing and doing well, James did it a few times with Madrid luckily Falcao only did it twice with United and Chelsea and when those went as bad as possible he quickly shifted his thinking and went to a place he'd be playing every week and to a team who played attackers close to him at Monaco and it went as good as could be hoped.

You can go back and look up my posts, those EPL moves for Falcao I was saying was about the worst possible choice for Falcao because of the coaches, styles and league.

I think Falcao failed in England because he just played poorly, not because he wouldnt fit in a system. Maybe the system/league/manager/coming from injury didnt help him, but it was more about lack of confidence. He missed scoring chances all the time, you cant blame that on tactics. He looked clumsy most of the time.

Atletico was very defensive when Falcao played there and he did great there.

    Remember the rules.

When our players don’t do well, it’s the coach’s fault.

When we do well, it’s because we are awesome and better than everyone else

    ;)
