    I was watching Patrick Veira one of my favorite players, and i noticed that he shaved his legs. Does this have any benefit to the play of the game?

    My friend used to get a body wax when he swam competitively. He claimed he was faster in the water without body hair than with. And the girls at school used to be all over him, due in part (I'd have to say mostly, he was missing quite a few things upstairs in that cranium of his) to his hairlessness.....

    Swimmers do swim faster without hair as it takes a few seconds off their times but I highly doubt that it would allow soccer players to run faster.

    There used to be a thread on here about Ronaldinho shaving his legs and that turned out to be untrue. He's just not a hairy guy. Im sure this applies to Patrick Veira.

    If an soccer player shaves their legs it is not for performance. Henry has hairy legs and he is quick as!! ANyway the whole reason a player might shave their legs is for massages and rub-downs. It is much more comfortables and doesn't pull on your legs when you have no hair

    hes french. but seriously if you think you can keep your legs cooler by doing that then go ahead. but it doesnt make you run faster since you have socks usually ove your legs.

    Competitive cyclists also shave their legs to reduce wind resistance.

    It has nothing to do with sexual preference southckid10.
    And I though kids who played for South Central Premier were a bit more intelligent than that. Surely you can do better.

    What may be bizarre to you is normal to others. So what gives you the right to call them names?

    I know more heterosexual men who shave their legs for athletic reasons.

    So no, shaving your legs does not mean one is gay.

    Actually it's "you're gay." Not "your gay."

    The state of our educational system makes me sad. :(

    In addition, it is much easier to clean cuts/scrapes and prevent any infection s when there is no hair. This is actually the main reason most cyclists shave (have you ever seen cyclists road rash?).

    Southkid10, how am I supposed to wrap my ankle with tape if I got a blister there? Personally I prefer to cut the hair off and then wrap :cool: .

    I dont think it has any benefit to the play of game, but if u wanna shave ur legs how about not being pansies and just do it! Dont be a little pus*y and worry about if people will think your gay. Fu*k them. Only dumbasses will think ur gay. Ask urself if u care what dummies think. If u do care about what they think of u, then u mite be a dumbass urself.

    About this gay talk. To be a homosexual you must perform intercourse with another of the same sex. some guys could shave there legs and still nail plenty of chicks, and some chicks could refuse to shave their legs and still have sex with a guy who is into hairy chicks. Ex. If I go shave may legs now and have sex with southckid10's mom tonite, im still straight.

    Ole =D

    Wot a great thing to come back to. Hm... I'm not gay. A few kids on my team tried it (indeed, it started because someone saw some pro on tv doing it. wow.). On good report I did. It's a lot cooler, sure, but really that's about it. I'm fuzzy to say the least, but it still wasn't that dramatic a difference being hairless. Wotever floats your boat i guess.
