The Crew take on bitter?, no, that's not right, intense? no, that's not right either. Fledgling? Well, whatever, who needs adjectives. The Crew take on rivals FC Cincinnati in the Hell is Florida match up as the Crew begin their quest to win the MLS is Back (baby!) Tournament. Both teams have played 2 regular season matches with Crew earning 4 points and looking decent and Cincy has been beaten twice. Who knows what things will look like tomorrow. Date & Time: Saturday, July 11 at 10:30 p.m. ET Tune In: FS1, FOX Sports App, TUDN, TUDN App, TSN, TSN App Virtual Fan Experience Drive-In Watch Party at Easton I'm hosting a zoom meeting with my season ticket holder friends and plan to be pretty drunk. Let's go Crew!
I've predetermined that my answer will be "win by 2" in perpetuity. Part out of laziness, part because I believe it, and part because... well whatever, pass the beer nuts.
Debating whether I should re-up my DirectTv package so I can record it and watch it ... tomorrow morning.
I really want to see Nagbe, Artur and Zelarayán continue to develop an understanding. These 3 should really be able to make some magic with quick interplay, pass and move combinations. Quickly move through the midfield, suck out the defense and then get our attackers, including Lucas into favorable spots to attack a scrambling back line. Really want to see how much Valenzuela can regain what we saw before his injury. He seemed full of confidence in our first 2 games. I hope to see him build on that, find ways to impact the game in the attacking third. Other than that, a win is a must. I don't really care how it comes. We have to beat this garbage fire team. It would be great if we could look fit, confident and organized doing it. But I'd take a keeper error own goal and a disjointed mess if it meant a win.
I just hope we actually play and continue to play games at any moment the season could be canceled and honestly it don’t look good
I am on maternity leave during a pandemic. Days are a blur. But that gives me one more day to mull over the decision.
OMG, an actual game thread. I couldn't be more excited. The Crew storm back into action with a rousing 3-1 victory. Wormgoor with a brace.
FC Kentucky still has no defense whatsoever, and Jaaaaaaaap can't do Jacques squat about it. 3-1 only because Caleb pulls the front 3 at the 65 minute mark keep them fresh
So basically game one with no preseason. Lack or preparation is a disadvantage to the weaker team. I rarely pick win by 2, but... win by 2!
See now, all you Mf'ers are copying me. Everybody be all "Win by 2". I mean I'm flattered and all, but is there any originality these days? But y'all certainly have far better thought out reasoning.
Can a mod update the end time of the poll? Somehow I managed to not be able to tell the difference between 24 and 36 hours.
I may have to change TV subscriptions as well. No FSO on Sling these days. I think the tourney is all on ESPN, FS1, & TUDN. After that, gonna need FSO again.
LAFC-Portland and a couple of the knockouts are on ESPN2. Even though there's different subscriber numbers between ESPN and ESPN2, I have yet to find a time who gets ESPN, but not ESPN2. There's also broadcast Fox, but there's always an antenna if locals don't come with the streaming services. I would think the games on broadcast TV would also be on the Fox app, but I've never really needed to pay attention there. FSO/STO are irrelevant for the time being unless you want to watch rebroadcasts of Crew games from seasons past.
Based on interviews given on various sources, it can't be Mensah, Nagbe, Room, or Zelarayan since they are training.
A Crew game tomorrow???? It really seems too good to be true. If I had a giant Crew flag I would drape it across Grandview Ave right now.
So as an unrepentant cable cutter, if I buckle and decide to sign up fir a month on some streaming service to watch the Crew play in this conjured spectacle (and I'm not saying I will, mind you), what am I looking at? YouTube TV? That my best bet?
I agree with @DAK77 about Hulu Live. Ive used all the major streaming services. Hulu gives me ESPN, Big FOX, FS1, and the regional FSO/STO channels. Not sure any other service covers all the bases for me anymore.
I believe I saw Zardes, Nagbe and Eitenne among the group in the BLM protest before the opening match.
The problem is the one game on TUDN. TUDN is only available on Fubo (which doesn't get ESPN) and AT&T TV Now (formerly DirecTV Now.) Luckily, it's on Twitter.
