Yeah I’m a bit worried. As Lampard has shown he will not sit someone he needs until they break. As Pulisic has shown, if you overuse him he will break. Bad combo.
IMO most of Chelsea's problems defensively are in goal and fullback. Azi is decent (for the level they are aiming for) but James and Alonzo are mid table players at best. Find Zuoma a new partner and then bring in a really good fullback while salvaging wtf you can out of the Kepa situation and moving on. Didn't see this posted, I thought it was pretty cool: 1279854350630871040 is not a valid tweet id
I’m assuming you mean right back. Azpilicueta has been an assist machine and decent on defense. James hasn’t been as good since the restart.
I doubt there is a USMNT next year. International soccer is likely on hold until there is a vaccine available for most of the world or we get to the point where every country throws their hands up in the air and says, "Screw it." Either way, it probably won't be until after the next club season. While the 90 minutes every three or four days might be a bit much for these two months, the lack of international fixtures during this and next year should help mitigate overuse concerns.
I mean left back. Isn't Azpi better on the right? Have him on the right, the new guy on the left and James on the bench.
Much of the actual world is managing this well. The US is in the minority as a country who has just said "screw it." And since much of Europe is managing it well, and FIFA is based in Europe, I suspect we're more likely to see it than not. I also actually suspect a vaccine will be available -- or more than one -- in the next year, but I may be hopeful for that.
You can't keep the lid on this virus and have the travel and sporting infrastructure in place to hold WCQs around the world. Too many people will need to get on board and I just don't see it happening in the next year. I agree that we will have a vaccine or three available before this year is up. What I doubt is that we will have it in enough people in enough places to stop the spread of the virus before the next year is up. And we need to be careful about victory laps for any country before this is all said and done. Everyone has been wrong about this virus at some point and there really is no telling how things will ultimately shake out. With thousands of people per day still testing positive in Europe it won't take much to have their numbers go back up like ours currently are.
I think WCQ will turn into bubble tournaments. I don’t see how you’re going to ask players to jump on planes, stay in hotels, etc in foreign nations multiple times in a year
I think the difference between Alonso and James is that the former is 30 this year and is unlikely to improve. Reece James is actually younger than Pulisic. Also positioning is a lot more important for a defender and that takes time, (and games), to learn so I don't think describing him as 'mid-table at best' is fair. Regarding a partner for Zouma, we still have Rudiger who's at the prime age for a centre back. He's played a lot of games for the German national side and is a more than decent player if he can stay fit. There's also Fikayo Timori who's very promising so I don't think we need to upgrade that many players, although we probably need some back-ups for cover.
That's all fair, though I do think there will be countries that can handle this with periodic outbreaks that allow for sports. I'm just angry at how poorly this country has handled it.
transfermarkt included his assists for the prior two matches so he's at 8 goals/4 assists in 21 league matches. To compare, his total in the Bundesliga was 13 goals/18 assists in 90 league matches.
Narrow minded. Mane to short stop. Virgil to center field. The real problem is CP can't play third base. Fenway sports just needs one team, cuts costs baby.

I still like this one the most. Something is just so sublime about the chip. It's at 1:20. Can't embed to that spot.
Yeah, I think all CP fans should be feeling good about his prospects right now. If you think about how far he's come in just one season - remember, he was only brought in to increase jersey sales - and the obstacles he's had to overcome - injuries, both real and imagined, and a newbie manager who was against him from the jump. All-in-all it's been a pretty good first season, and it's not over yet!
Ya and now 2.5 years later he's got an arm sleeve tat, a linebacker's neck and a beard you can light a match on.
This is a good exposition of the varied toolbox that Pulisic has developed. 1280518824723386369 is not a valid tweet id
