Yes the east, west and south perimeter has, as you say, the primary secant pile wall and secondary cast in place concrete wall and continuous top beam. The north side looks different. When I zoom in with the Ultra HD view I see the tops of concrete column piers or auger cast piles with vertical rebars sticking up from the top of each pier/pile. I also see grade beams being poured between the column piers/piles and rebar cages for future grade beams. It appears that the area under the north end/Nordecke will be all or partially unexcavated, with no space below, unlike the other 3 sides. They would not be building all of those grade beams if they were going to excavate it down 20 feet later.

I'm certainly no construction expert and don't understand nearly any of the words that @WhiteHartShame just said, but I don't think they're done excavating that north end just yet.
There will be a tunnel that enters the substadium that allows for the visitor's bus to enter the stadium directly. No, I haven't see blueprints. But so far, this thing is a pretty good knock off of Banc of California, and that's how they've done it. I think they're overall footprint might be a little larger, but the concept is pretty damn close.

If any teams visit us in March or April, they're gonna love that. The Schottenstein Center has something similar and I've always thought of it as a nice trade-off, considering visiting hockey teams have to walk on the ice from the bench to behind the goal in order to get to their locker room.

I pointed out several weeks ago that I didn't think Nordecke would have a basement. I noticed when they started forming the walls on north end of east & west stands - effectively cutting off any potential for full circle movement under ground.

I don't think the visiting team's bus is as much the inspiration for the substadium you're seeing as much as concert semis.

Don't forget we're also building a concert venue.

I'll bet a Kyle Brew that they excavate the north side up to the secant wall.

Very true. And again, I know I’m a broken record in my citations of Banc of California, but the supporter’s stands were removable and a stage could be erected in their place.

Same with SKC, Orlando, Houston, Minnesota, DC (I think), and San Jose. Not to mention Austin, Cincy, and Nashville's plans all include a "hidden stage."

Want to ensure that your stadium generates revenue? Let it moonlight as a 25,000 seat concert venue. It's just good business.

Don't they also need a short-term holding area for Chicago fans?

Oddly enough the Vet in Philly had one of those--for real. And a courtroom.

Looks like the street level southeast corner got its concrete floor poured yesterday. Appears they are putting rebar and pouring concrete over the metal flooring which sits on the steel. They have all the metal flooring staged to lay out for the southwest corner and working their way down the west side.

It may already have been noted, but the dirt ramp that allowed entry to the construction area is gone, with a smaller sideways ramp now in place, and there's more stuff dug out in the back corner.

I think the main ramp is still there, obscured by the new west stands steel. There's a semi in the pit right now (another delivery of steel beams) that must have used it to get there. If you look at the HD panorama image (which they seem to update daily), you can still see it.

You also see - as you note - what's been removed from the NE corner (near to where that smaller, steep ramp is located). You can see a gap in the secant wall there, with rain from yesterday's storms. Of course that whole area behind the primary secant wall is on the north end of the stadium looks to be a totally different animal from what you see on other parts of the site. I get the sense that the nature of the secant wall along that edge of the site isn't the simple "bathtub" perimeter we see along the S, E and W side of the stadium.

There will definitely be a pass through from NE to NW corners. How wide? I don't know. But the Northend seats will be stored there when in not in the stadium configuration. It would also make sense for load in/load out for concerts. I get more excited every day that I see this thing.

I went through images people took of the model. Here is service ramp. Clearly going to need to excavate under Nordecke a least a bit. Wondering if the solid walls at north end of East & west stands is to help with flood control. Basically be able to close off the area where water may enter via ramp from rest of underground parts? Also perhaps to address fire control from vehicles in that area. Some days I just wish I knew these answers but other days I enjoy guessing what is happening and how things are going to be built before they are.

Interesting, here is another photo of the model in the same general area. The model shows a retaining wall and lower level connection into the stadium at the NW corner, which is where the Nordecke Gate will be located. The current renderings on the stadium website show the Nordecke Gate area in this same area, but it is at grade with no retaining wall. The model was completed in March, revisions must have occurred since then. Model of New Crew Stadium-North Side View.PNG

I hadn't seen those model pictures before I don't think. Or if I had, I forgot about them.

As you say, the Nordecke gate is at the NW corner of the stadium. The image here is of the NE corner.

Those images do help make sense of what you can see in the HD panorama image. You can see the gap in the interior secant wall where that entry point is shown in the model, but also some sense of the foundational work that's been done that'll eventually be where the north stands are built.
