If you had to put together a starting XI for Qatar 2022, who would be in it?

Chile for the most part has talent...you guys do and I do have respect for you guys. I always have so that being said, for this 2022 qualifying cycle, if you guys truly want to get back to the World Cup...your players are definitely going to have to step it up because you guys have a capable enough side

If Chile were to somehow qualify for Qatar, then what would be your lineup? What would it look like?

To answer this I would need to be part of the evaluating committee and have access to all applications received and interviews. It certainly would be an interesting and challenging task. It is possible to make an error in selecting a coach, but one needs to be expedient to correct the error and dismiss the coach soon enough. There should be probationary periods, regular evaluations of performance and fulfillment of plans, maintenance of professionalism and professional memberships, etc.

Chile could always go after an Argentine again or go after a Colombian to coach them

I really like this squad but if Chile qualifies I mean Alexis would be like what 34 or 35 at least so would he even make the squad

You are right about their age. It would be a hurdle going forward. At most, there should be no more than 2-3 players on a whole squad that are pushing towards 35. On the other hand, there were quite a few aging teams from South America at the last World Cup. So their age might not be a factor against them when it comes to qualifying but might eventually work against them on the world stage.

As my lineup stands, 5 of the 11 starters would be in their 20s. Some changes could still be made. Medel could go on the bench while Diaz and Maripan could be the center back pairing. That would leave room for a younger left back for example.

Competitvely, I don't see replacements for Bravo, Vidal, Aganguiz, Alexis, and even Isla just yet.

Pulgar, Maripan, and Paulo Diaz have been the only new players to leave a good enough impression to join the veterans.

Mena may still be the best choice as left back even though he's part of that 30+ group.

Does Jeraldino play as center forward or winger? Where would Vargas go?

Jeraldino would be my center forward and Vargas would be my winger

I think Jeraldino is a center forward, not a winger.

That is exactly why he should be Chile's target man up front because Alexis is getting old

Who are the under 20 Chilean players coming up?

I have been watching the Premier league and I'm impressed by how many good young players they have.

This morning Greenwood scored two good goals for Manchester United, and Saka just scored for Arsenal. Both are 18.

Even Canada have Davies, 19, I think, and a starter for Bayern Munich. Just wondering if we have any quality coming up.

Both Vidal and Alexis are doing well now, but we will need some young players, if we want to play in Qatar.
