MountainStar Sports Group, the organization behind the El Paso Chihuahuas (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League), is involved in an effort to bring a United Soccer League team to El Paso.

The push for a club in El Paso is being led by a group that includes Paul Foster and Josh Hunt, as well as other executives from MountainStar. Under MountainStar, the Chihuahuas have established a track record of success since beginning play at downtown El Paso’s Southwest University Park in 2014.

EL PASO, Texas - 17-year old Diego Luna isn't yet old enough to vote. But he is old enough to sign with El Paso Locomotive FC.

General Manager Andrew Forrest inked Luna to a professional contract Monday, making him the youngest player in the history of Locomotive FC.

Luna comes with legitimate hype, having been signed from the FC Barcelona Academy in Arizona.

What's the best place on the West side (far north edge of town, basically) to watch USMNT games?

The Fuego were on fire in front of a record home crowd. Villyan Bijev scored two world-class goals as Central Valley Fuego FC earned an upset victory in front of nearly 5,000 supporters at Lamonica Stadium in Clovis, CA. Bijev chipped El Paso Locomotive FC goalkeeper Philipp Beigl for 1-0 lead in the 4th minute, and scored again in the 42nd minute, driving at a defender and fainting twice to his right before unleashing a shot into the top corner. Nathan Smith and Christian Chaney added goals for Fuego, which is making its debut in USL League One this season. Eric Calvillo scored in the 90th minute to prevent the shutout but El Paso Locomotive FC lost its fourth consecutive game across all competitions to start the 2022 campaign. Central Valley Fuego FC steps in to the Third Round, scheduled for April 19-21, and will play an opponent to be determined.
