    says something that isn't in the BBC article. The BBC mentions the videos of Richard Parry, but Mark Sparko tweeted something in the video that isn't in the article:

    "This is a video of the head of the English Football League, Richard Parry, stating he’s heard a rumour that there was a big bet placed on Wigan’s relegation in the Philippines. Remember the past owner was a professional gambler who owned a string of casinos?"

    It's one thing to have an owner make a mistake or have financial trouble because of coronavirus. It's another thing to want a club to be relegated and/or enter administration. We hear about match-fixing. This is season-fixing, and maybe club-destroying. If administration is because of gambling, it could be unrelated to coronavirus, and blaming coronavirus for financial trouble could be a convenient way to lie to cover up what happened.
