I watched Berlin today and i cant figure it out how we lost that game.. They look so bad, i think we play today, it would be 3-4 goal difference easy.
We lost too many points against smaller teams this season, against Berlin and Paderborn we won only 1 point, omg..
That game against RBL should end up like Schalke game yesterday..
Im afraid we lost too many important points for title this year

Losing to Hoffenheim, drawing paderborn, losing to bayer and drawing to leipzig after being up 2 goals on them pretty much adds up to why this season sucked. We have some bad losses and bad play

Zorc and Favre endorsed Sancho's tribute message for George Floyd and downplayed the news that he got a haircut in his home, noting that the only violation was the lack of masks worn by him and the hairstylist.

The DFL fined both Sancho and Akanji for their haircuts. Sancho retweeted this...

Lol. Why would the German League want to fine someone for the BLM statement? The league is constantly pushing anti-racism messages. They were never gonna fine players for that, the image/PR would be terrible.

But the rules on safety are clear, and both Sancho and Akanji broke them, so they got fined. Which is fair. Not a big deal though.

Yeah, this is nonsense. Political messages are forbidden. They dropped those investigations fast thankfully.

But there's a reason why the league is very interested in showcasing a responsible attitude during Corona. It wasn't a given that a restart would happen. Football isn't essential during a pandemic. Berlin put down the hammer on Kalou for his video because every misstep could have easily led to another delay or maybe even the end of the season.

i feel pretty good that if we win today we have locked up champions league play.
Part of me wishes we wouldnt so Favre gets sacked but I also know that some players would immediately want out if we didnt.

    Hahahahhahahhahaha...
We will not win anything ever again with Watzke and company..
The club philosophy is something like in Arsenal, profit, profit, profit.. Results? We dont need them when we have profit...

While Favre might indeed not get fired, I don't buy this particular story. No one at the club will ever say they'll keep Favre because no one better is available. That would be the end of any coach so I'd think that story is garbage.

This story doesn't surprise me tbh.

It would be a typical move by the mgmt, lack of ambition.

I doubt that it will be possible to win the BL title or make a deep run in the CL with Favre as coach, despite the quality of the squad and all the money spent on transfers in the last 12 months alone.

It's terrible if Favre is kept. The club will never win anything at all with him in charge.

This team is crying out for an attacking manager, who plays the single pivot with two attacking 8s. The 3/4/3 formation does not get the best out of Brandt or our attacking players.

I just cannot believe they keep Favre. It shows no ambition.

Can and now Witsel have publicly spoken out in support of Favre. The latter was more a defense of the team and the coach’s accomplishments, to be fair, but Can went as far as to say he’d like to play another few years under him.

I don't care what they want. Witsel is just not good enough for a top team and the moment we get an attacking manager, he would find himself on the bench and rarely starting.

The team is calling out for an attacking manager.

Well, I expected something more from the board, some more ambitions. Partly it has to do with economy too, new coach means to pay LF for one more year plus buyout of the new coach. Damage is done, I just hope they will not extend his contract like they did last year. That might open for firing him in the next season if the results are bad, and some of the new coaches proof themselves to be really good ( Maassen).
What is now 100% sure is that Sancho is gone. I feel pity for the young players though

No point in looking forward to next season, then.

I suspect management merely had a lucky break with Klopp.
