Season starts tomorrow and it looks as if Bein doesnt have the rights anymore. Im assuming ngsn will be the only place to see these matches. Anyone know what happened with bein?

Was wondering the same thing. Especially in such a down time in sports in general, it would be very nice to watch.

Guess the RPL is gone. I noticed they did show a Swiss league match over the weekend (Basle v Vaduz)

The Basel v Vaduz match was played at 7:45 am Sunday. Since the tennis final was not until 10 am, they could have shown it live, but instead chose to show it on tape delay.

As for the Russian Premier League, all I can say is that I hope that none of the postings bemoaning loss of the RPL matches are those beIN "fans" whose major critique of the station was that they were signing too many leagues.

Not quite clear what there is to bemoan when NGSN shows every game live and on demand whereas bein showed limited games sporadically almost usually on connect with no way to watch the games later.

Looks like they took the live matches off the YouTube site.

Anyone have any idea if/where the matches will be shown in the USA now?

I fondly remember one listless summer when I had Setanta and watched A LOT of the Russian Premier League. I even got some of my friends into it and we bet on matches.

Looks like the Russian Premier League are selling rights again so the free YouTube channel is no longer available for all matches. Turning on my US VPN, I get a message that I can purchase the YouTube channel with 2 options:

    - $2.99 per month for 2 matches per round with English commentary
    - $4.99 per month for 8 matches with Russian commentary.

So indeed, looks like the days of free RPL on YouTube are over.

I’m pretty sure the replays are free but could be wrong.

Just saw that they were about to start the paywall before the corona hit.

Live matches are paid, but so far the replays go up a little while after the final whistle for free.

Also looks like you can’t subscribe via the you tube app. Got to go through the you tube website.

Also seeing that the Polish league put their matches, replays, and full highlights and highlights shows (including English language) on a paywall.

Armenia and Romania are now live on YouTube though. And Hungary is live and archived on the national broadcaster’s website.

The Hungarian derby is coming up today.

Yeah the paywall for RPL started a few weeks before covid hit because I remember being annoyed about it at the time. The replays used to be too so I’m not sure if this is a change in approach or they messed up so far by showing them for free

Makes no sense to give the replays for free. Only the real hardcore of the hardcore will want to see them live.

Just noticed that Fubo TV has added a Fubo Sports 2 channel.

Says in the description that there will be a free preview of Russian Premier League matches this weekend.

Time will tell what this is all about.

Dynamo vs. Krasnodar is live on Fubo Sports Network right now. The frame rate is pretty low.
