So ********ing pumped to have football back. The thought of potentially seeing Bruno, Rash, and Pogba all on the field at once is exciting.
Pre match jitters are settling in (missed those tbph). Just hoping that the leaked team that has been making the rounds are not true: back 3/5 (Lindelöf, Maguire, Shaw and AWB+Williams at WBs) with Fred, McTominay and Bruno, in midfield supporting a front 2 of Rash and Martial. Wouldn't be majorly concerned by leaked lineups but with United, they somehow tend to be the real deal. Still feel that this team should be able to take care of Spurs though but we'll see.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Lamela, Bergwijn, Son, Kane. Interesting choices on both sides. Glad Ole is going with a back 4: fine with Fred and McTominay in midfield, even if I'm disappointed about Pogs not starting. But surely he'll be coming on at some point and trust he'll light it up then. Sanchez and Dier is the obvious talking point for Spurs: we'll see how they get on, since they're not a tried and true partnership.
not thrilled bt James but we'll see if the break has helped him at all. i never thought he was burnt out but hopefully he has used the time to develop another strategy other than winning a foot race to beat a man
Called it. Pogba on the bench and James starting. I think James is a mistake. Same goes for Pogba being on the bench but I get wanting to stick with the midfield 3 that was clicking before the break.
Solskjær said "Pogba will gradually play more and more" also answered yes when asked if he was tempted to start him. make of that what you will
No complaints about the line-up personally. We're best placed to control the game, on the pitch and with subs. I think Spurs are probably going to play a deep block anyway but there will be clear gaps in their first game back, with Dier as a CB and Aurier on the right.
Still want to see a pretty aggressive start from the boys: hope we get it. If for no other reason to test and put their backline under pressure almost right off the bat to see how it holds.
since we have James out there we may as well try use his pace for something. hoping we use the pace of the front three in general
Spurs just sitting back and asking us to break them down. Front 6 are noticeably static other than Bruno.
Pogba's creative ability will be welcome whenever he does come on eventually. Fred and McTominay are high energy and hardworking guys but need a bit more vs a team with Spurs's defensive posture. Will help open things up not just for Bruno but for the front 3 as well. Great play from Bergwijn to open the score but a few guys at fault there at the back for United made it way too easy for him...
Spurs score thanks to Luke Shaw. Takes an easy defensive header and gives it right to Spurs. Horrible by DDG as well.
