That is one way to look at it. Or you can say Mexico had 4 v 3 which the USA three being a backline of: Yedlin----Bradley----Beasley Ah, I think you kill the play at the center circle and let your team get behind the ball. Especially, on the road, at the Azteca. It took Acosta to make a pretty athletic move just to miss Cheech. Terrible decision and terrible play.
Luton have been 2-2-2 with vs 8W3D20L without CCV, so a nice uptick in his limited time there. Looks like they'll be relegated, so hopefully he gets bought by a good C'ship team. Green(WS_6.3) got the start for Greuther. Pulled off for Tillman(WS_6.4) at halftime in a 1-2 loss. Kenny Saief had a nice power-dribbling run to get the assist in Poland.
#USMNT Julian Green went the first 45 for Greuther Furth. He had 63% passing, 1 key pass, 2/2 accurate crosses, 1/3 accurate long balls, 1 shot off target, 1/2 successful dribbles, and won 6/10 duels.— Mr. Silence Dogood (@POTP_Silence) June 5, 2020 Green was good until the winter break. Since then, it's been a meh season for him. Those numbers are not particularly good for the position he was playing (LAM, with Ernst as the RAM).
Just looking at those stats you wouldn’t think he would get the half-time hook. Passing pct low but not awful if mostly in attacking third. But, stats aren’t everything.
WS_6.3 and 63% passing for a cm pretty crappy for a cm. The other starting cms had 85 and 86% passing.
Pomykal an inch shorter and 10 lb lighter. Probably will gain those pounds in a few years. And Donovan wasn't a typical forward or winger, he played all over the field no matter what his starting position was. Actually AFAIR he was starting as AM in plenty of games anyway.
Very solid 90 min. performance by Tyler Adams today for RBL, despite a hairy moment in the box toward the end of the match. He ended up playing a fair amount of de facto right back after Leipzig went a man down.
rb have been fine, results-wise, but they havent gotten their groove back since play has resumed. i dont guess it matter if cl play doesnt continue, though.
Meh. I'd put it in the just ok is not ok category. His best play is in the rb/dmid/cmid rotation of Adams/Laimier/Sabitzer or insert Kampl in that rotation. In UCL play I'm pretty sure they'd go with Sabitzer, Laimier + 1 of Kampl or Adams with Adams having a slight edge on that right side. I look forward to Adams getting more chances in that role instead of the dub 442 with dub 6's (Kampl and Adams) system they payed today which wasn't very good considering they were playing the last place team who are a sure relegation.
Horvath given his club's permission to move .….. https://sbisoccer.com/2020/06/report-horvath-given-permission-to-seek-move-from-club-brugge would Schalke be a bridge too far? I hear Steffen might be a candidate but who knows if his knee situation allows.
Watched his every touch video. Adams looks to be closing in on his pre-injury form. In tight passes, he neatly passed the ball. He isn't as good as McKennie is on the directional headers. Looked better centrally than on the sidelines
Maybe I don’t know their GK situation well enough. Doing a quick look and their mostly young German GKs. I think Hertha would be a great spot. Lead GK is 35. They have a young back up but little experience. Horvath could come in and make it his.
I hope Horvath agent has the right contacts because after a year sitting on the bench, it's not easy arising interest. Letica already has interest by Hajduk Split, even though he's played even less than Ethan: a team from his homeland is coming to the rescue. Cercle Brugge wants Hubert, who barely played there this season as a loanee. So far, no rumors about anyone in Europe interested in Ethan, though. https://www.voetbal24.be/news/61597...en-zet-drie-spelers-tegelijk-op-transferlijst
Fab Johnson is the on the way out of Gladbach. No surprise there. He is 32 and has been beset by muscle injuries. Watched the Sargent's every touch. He was more dynamic and put himself about across the field. Had a couple of skillchecks. Was involved in setting up some promising attacking movements. Looks better when he can drift away from the top. It's tough to find strikers who can serve as a offensive pivot or fulcrum up top. That's why Giroud started for France. And that's why Altidore is valued by his peers and coaches. Whoscored gave him a 6.1(9th); understandable as he made no key passes, took only one shot, was 0/5 on aerials, only completed 16 passes. SofaScore game him 6.7(6th); also understandable as he was involved in some nice build up play and was 5/8 on ground duels.
Weird on Sargent's rating, as I thought he was excellent. Largely involved in earning 3 yellow cards (solely responsible for 2), and 3 corresponding dangerous free kicks. Not sure what more u can ask for from that awful team
At this point, Sargent is one of the things that are wrong with Bremen. Fabian Johnson has been done for over a year. People here just didn't want to listen.
