He single handedly ruined the club (along with Totti to a much lesser degree). We are in a dire financial situation . It would almost be better to go bankrupt and start all over.
If Zaniolo is sold (when) what will be the point of winning that transfer? Oh yeah, we got to see a young talent for the 1 millionth time play a few good games for us. Well isnt that Winners of Nianggolans character are not easily replaced. I said at the time, I could understand the logic behind selling him but if theres one player to buck the trend of aging badly with his lifestyle it would be him due to his build and his personality. Losing him has cost us more than Zanioli can ever bring in transfer and as I said above, for what? a handful of memories Zanioli will have in this shirt. Sure hes slowed down a bit but when the man is motivated like we seen this year at Cagliari he can still play at the highest of levels. His passing and confidence on the ball has only improved at he aged. Nianggolan has an old school mentality. He plays for the attachment of a club. Not for money. He was poor at Inter because he didnt give a fcuk and felt betrayed. Rightly so. Something a lot of previous regular posters couldn't grasp. Making huge changes quickly rarely turns out well. To top it off they sold Strootman on the final day. Successful groups are more than just the 11 starters week in week out. But management are professionals so they know better right? Nianggolan should be brought back this summer if at all possible. If we have management that understand the game from a group preservative. I think our DS gets that, he mentions he wants men in the locker room but he might be getting the road to.
Spalletti is actually a good coach, I won't for a second say he's not just because I don't like him. But I always wondered why he never made a big jump, it's not like he was loyal to one team or anything. Just none of the BIG teams really ever came knocking. I do know that a lot of people in Italy really don't like him though. The Totti situation definitely made his image worse, however aside from that he just never seemed to accept responsibility. He would always deflect the blame to his team and im sure that has contributed to his success or lack thereof. EDF is also a good coach, he ended up blowing it with us but at times it really felt like he was set up to succeed. Really wish him the best and am interested in seeing what he can do in the future. Sabatini over Mongo is a no brainer. Happy we could agree.
What do you mean? We can undersell Zaniolo next year for 40 mill and use that 40 mill to buy a washed up player that won't succeed tha5 we will then have trouble offloading and another young kid we can keep for a year and then sell again for 40 mill. Don't you like the cycle?
watching 'the last dance' and seeing how they let dennis rodman do his thing knowing when it was game time he would perform gave me a new perspective on radja
According to La Repubblica, there could be an extraordinary reversal of fortunes with Zaniolo returning to Inter in exchange for cash plus Nainggolan. There is an extra reason for this, as Roma already owe Inter 15 per cent of any future transfer for Zaniolo, so selling the 20-year-old right back to the Nerazzurri would wipe that cost out.
This is probably the only thing missing for us to get the title we have deserved for a long long time, "The Big Italian Feeder Clubs' Bitches" Ffs
Talk of Smalling staying on loan for another season with an obligation to buy at the end of it. Wouldn't be surprised to see something similar for Mkhitaryan. No one is going to spend in this window.
Yes we did lol. This is a terrible deal but even if it happened it would mean Inter paid us 60+ million to borrow Radja for 2 years. We fleeced them either way.
Not that I believe that rumor for a second. Management won’t take Radja back because it makes them look bad, and Zaniolo can easily be sold for more abroad .
Well the rumor is that Inter made the offer and Roma already rejected it. They supposedly won’t sell Zaniolo unless an offer of 80M+ arrives. A trade between Cristante and Mandragora seems to be on the cards. I’m with this trade if it goes through, Manragora is a much better fit for us.
We “fleeced them” and proceeded to miss out on champions leauge revenue 1(and likely 2) years in a row after “fleecing” Inter. The clubs finances depended solely on Champions leauge revenue. We are already -126 million this fiscal year and it’s only March LOL.
