    Updated Rules for tournament

    Matches
Group Phase - 3 matches for each team
KO stage - 1 match for QF / 2 for SF / 3 for finalists.

    Lineups
Each team will be a free choice of the managers, the only limitation is not lineup the same 11 players two times, in all the way to the Final.

No ban rules - only suspended players
No eras rules - No needed to lineup the amateur player each match
    No substitutions in the 90'.

For each group a "special referee" was assigned to help receiving teams for each match and post them when having both teams. So, it will be no advantadge to see your rival lineup first.

    Votes
For results, it will be required a Personal Message to me and the Group Referee, indicating:
    - Result of each match, excluding your own group (both matches).
    - Goalscorers
    - Man of the Match
    - 1 player red carded, 2 players yellow carded, by team. If you wanted (taked as maximum warnings by team).
    - For the initial match, you have free use of your squad.

This is an example of the votes (adding warnings in this draft)

    Results
1st, Will be calculating the results according to a table averaging up to 12 votes (excluding 4 of your own group).
An example of the table for the result calculation. I'll made another for 12 votes.

2nd, Having the result. goalscorers and MotM will be calculated, rounded up the values, in case of draw, the most defensive role, will gets the nod.

3rd, Red cards, will be given only if the player get 50% of the votes.

4th, Yellow cards, will be given only if the player get 33% of the votes.

5th, Two yellows = 1 suspension the next match. Same with Red.

6th, every player can be suspended just for 1 time. In the Final match, all the warnings will be canceled in order to have the best of the squads.

I hope, this process takes no more than 1 week for round, Each group is independently of one another, and some groups could go faster than others.

The only work required for managers in each round is:
    - Send your team to the Referee and me.
    - Send your votes

In order to get things, well organized, there will be only 1 Conversation for Manager, including him, the referee and me.

In this Conversation, each manager can send:
    - Lineup for his match, in each round
    - Votes for all matches, excluding his own group, in each round

Yes, I have both those line-ups so will post them today.

I have @Excape Goat 's team too, so just @thebigman left to confirm - I said to him initially that there didn't seem to be any rush yet but let us know @msioux75 if there should be a deadline anytime soon.

Just to confirm that I'll follow @wm442433 's suggestion (which seemed a good idea) from the main thread, and post the line-ups for both games at the same time.

So it could be if thebigman sends me his line-up quite late this evening I'd post all the line-ups tomorrow morning for example (I still guess there is no particular rush though anyway, but yeah if all the managers see all the teams for their group's round of games after posting their own line-up that's the fairest and most realistic way I think).

I think you can send the tactics if you want, but there will be an opportunity to clarify them after the line-ups are revealed (but not to change the positions and basic roles of the players).

I think that's what msioux said basically.

In regards to my opposition. Giggs was never a huge goal threat, more of an old school winger. I would think Alberto could stop him and Hansen on that side. Müller would be shackled by two world class cbs. Desailly would win the aerial balls and Hansen could read the game to intercept

hapgood and desailly would be able to double on Matthews when he was making runs, but I also have gento tracking back on the left

his midfield is athletic but not the most technical. Davids played like a headless chicken at times and is a red card waiting to happen vs gullit and scholes. Deschamps would be able to cut out forward movement from didi and I would ask gullit to mark and press Bozsik in possession

Messi would (again) be on Ramos and Cabrini and also help centrally outnumber his midfield. Ramos has a poor record vs messi and is another liability to be sent off

Cabrini would have to deal with Alberto and messi and then Henry would be troubling both cbs

Dennis Irwin wasn’t quick and also was a left back. Gento should be able to get behind as would henry who thrived cutting in from the left

Denis Irwin was a rightback by nature. Sir Alex used him as a leftback. Too busy to write more stuffs. That's it for me.

Both games are too low scoring, imo. Kocsis is such a bad matchup for Chumpitaz, I had him down for two goals. I still think Peru wins from scoring more goals down the middle, where Msioux pair of CBs get outclassed by his trio. I could also see Chumpitaz and Vieira picking up yellow cards.

Irwin was a slower-paced fullback who would struggle against the sheer speed of Gento. Didi wasn't to help provide protection either. Both players are candidates for yellow cards, imo. The same is true on the reverse side where Carlos Alberto is tasked with pushing forward, making it the more vulnerable flank. The athleticism of Davids and Giggs could've set up Muller for a couple goals, imo, and Scholes is a candidate for yellow as he could've struggled to cover for Alberto.

I had a few parallels to your ideas it seems:
    "msioux75 2-3 Peru FC
    Kocsis, Overmars
    Van Basten, Stoichkov, Platini
Yellow cards: Pirri, Van Hanegem, Vieira, Monti
    MOTM: Platini

    Excape Goat 1-2 thebigman
    Muller
    Henry, Gullit
    Yellow cards: Ramos, Scholes
    MOTM: Messi"

Yes, sorry I do have that one too. I have Excape Goat's now too.

I'm not sure if everyone is doing as wm442433 suggested and waiting for all 4 teams to be submitted this round, but I think I will do.
