Oh he will be. They'll be watching the Galaxy and LAFC play while home in LA, in their own homes, many miles apart, properly socially distancing with litlle to no contact and social interaction as swell!
100%. And now legitimate news outlets and local law enforcement, FBI, etc. are reporting that some of the more egregious arrests are of white supremacists who are part of a coordinated effort to instigate. This happened in Nashville, Oakland, Oregon (duh), and in Denver. The dude in Denver was a armed to the teeth. Someone was arrested in Hollywood this morning for impersonating a national guardsman. Twitter even took down a fake Antifa account that tied back to identity Europa. ...and then there is a the bored rich kid cosplayers like the ones that were tagging a Starbucks in mid city while the actual protestors told them to stop. There was the ones breaking up a sidewalk in Philly (in front of the police) until the real protestors tackled them and handed them over to the police 3 feet away. it is sad that people want to turn these protests into instigating incidents for their beloved craved race war and are willing to go to these lengths to do it.
Hopefully the large amounts of white protestors at the rallys will keep the race war talk to a minimum.
If people took 2 seconds to really stop and think about it that tweet didn't sound like Antifa or someone from the streets. It sounded exactly like what it was. A white dude trying to sound like someone from the inner-city. Didn't stop people from buying it though as I had to tell some relatives to stop being stupid and that they (and by they we all know that white suburbanites mean blacks from the city) weren't going to come loot suburban neighborhoods. And if they were they wouldn't go posting it on twitter. But it works as a scare tactic because it plays to the fears of certain (and in some cases, sadly, a majority) of people.
Bold mine. Not exactly. The guy didn't have any weapons on him and he was never actually arrested. There also no evidence to support that he instigated or was involved in any of the vandalism or looting that took place the night he was in Denver. Still a nutjob though.
Back to soccer. MLSPA has received MLS's latest offer. Herculez Gomez has some of the details about the offer. Big one is a reduction in the revenue sharing from the future TV deal. I believe the pre-shutdown agreement was 25% of any TV revenue over 100 million, but the league wants to drop it down to 12.5%. After a two hour deliberation the @MLSPA will now have to vote on whether or not they will return to play, or be locked out.— herculez gomez (@herculezg) June 2, 2020
Legally sure, but the post you responded to was that he was armed to the teeth. He doesn't have to have the weapons in his hand for me to think that.
Thought I can't shake - how many people will die because they can't breathe due to coronavirus they got from a protest cluster...
Thought I can't shake - You should probably stop posting on this subject, or at the very least think long and hard about what you're posting before you do it...
Yes yes I fear the group think as much as you do. Yet at some point you have to realize that getting into crowds now is murder-suicide. Everyone knows it, everyone agrees, but everyone is terrified to say anything in the current conditions.
I long for the days when your obsession was the attendance of a scarcely attended midweek match in Columbus.
Which is why you used "can't breath" in that post, one of the rallying cries of the current protest. Either you did it on purpose, which just stop posting if you thought that was a good idea, or you didn't realize it, which is why you should think about what you post when you post. Either way, the post was more than a bit tasteless.
The only thing tasteless is not being worried about the nurses, doctors, and many many others who will die for this cause without ever making that choice for themselves.
Well, you agree. In Kingston we had a peaceful march with masks and some degree of social distancing. KINGSTON, N.Y. — Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan and Kingston Mayor Steve Noble said Monday that demonstrators who marched through Midtown Kingston Saturday to protest the death of a black man in police custody in Minneapolis did their best to comply with guidelines to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The two elected leaders said the demonstration was peaceful and that most participants wore face coverings as they marched from Academy Green on Albany Avenue to City Hall on Broadway. The marchers were not complying with Gov. Andrew Cuomo's still-in-effect ban on large gatherings, but there has been no government criticism of the violation. Ryan and Noble, rather, urged participants in such events to continue wearing masks, stay a safe distance from others and follow hand-washing guidelines.
