Don’t forget ‘The Whom’ singing ‘Whom Are You?’ from their album ‘Whom’s Next’...

You're forgetting the obvious 'silly' case - I mean really - 'Who are you' isn't on 'Who's Next'

    Yahoo! finance headline:

Stock market news live updates: Stocks rise as reopening hopes offset concerns over ongoing protests

Of course they've factored in how many COVID-closed businesses are now burnt out & looted and never returning, right?

    Of course they did.
They're betting on the remaining business exerting monopoly-like power thus raising prices and profits.

It's ridiculous to try explaining why the market as a whole is going up or down. But if we're going to play this pointless game, maybe the market is up because it's looking more likely that Biden will win in November.

Interesting take. Traditionally that would drop the markets, but Trump & Co is such a shit show, I wouldn't doubt it.

Hey seems like Wall street is becoming a believer of Modern monetary theory.

    Rough time at the casino:

Yes, StopFapForever, who claims to be a 28-year-old Italian, shared his brutal market mistake with the bunch on WallStreetBets. He apparently he went all-in on Luckin and lost his entire life savings in the process. “Now I’m broke af,” he wrote, posting this screenshot of the carnage:

The top response fits the general theme of the unforgiving, risk-embracing Reddit group: “You still have over $12k left, come back tomorrow and finish the job,” lehacf wrote.

I peruse WSB every now and then just for the LOL’s. There is some good humor in there and interesting takes on the market by guys who are trying to make money fast and largely get burned (not everyone).
All sorts of folks who got the surprise of their life when they bought oil thinking it couldn’t go any lower only to discover prices went negative costing them a bunch.
