Racism...Forever?

There is plenty of evidence that discrimination against POC is not limited to people of other colors. Black cops abuse black suspects too. I think @soccernutter even had a post upthread about how POC can become complicit and participate when that culture exists within a department.

I think their would be a reticence among most US troops to shoot US citizens without respect to color and some bloodthirsty bastards that would just want to use their guns and kill people.

Tthe vandalism and violence needs to be gotten under control. It is simply a matter of time before the wrong persons business gets attacked and we will be adding more deaths to our excess death count. It would not be a crime in I think 25 or so states to protect your property by use of lethal force.

 

Trump is going across to St John Episcopal church , right across the street. So he had the park and the street emptied for his photo op ...This is insane.

Given the human propensity to resemble one's ancestors, that guy's dad is probably one of the Rupert brothers who grew up on my block. It needs to be said here for people who don't understand how dangerous and stupid this is that there was a 7pm curfew in DC. They began clearing out the area in a forceful manner well ahead of the curfew for a ********ing photo op. My (increasingly limited) church experiences have never involved White people, so I don't know what I'd do if I were suddenly thrust into a situation where I had to worship alongside certain ones of them, knowing that their approach to faith has probably influenced their ignorance of my plight.
