I was wondering if this was common practice in MLS? The Bayern family made Alphonso Davies whole after he was strong-armed by the Vancouver Whitecaps into giving up his rights under the MLS CBA. @FCBayernUS https://t.co/whPdOQkuY6— Bavarian Football Works (@BavarianFBWorks) May 28, 2020
I thought I read somewhere that the player can’t be charged for agents fees, commissions, etc. Which would make such a giveback illegal (and having Bayern write the contract that way just as). Unless that’s wholly a European thing. Thx, Jay!
