DC United and Inter Miami want to sign former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge according to Goal.

Sturridge terminated his Trabzonspor contract with by mutual consent in March and is finishes serving a four-month ban from football in June after breaching betting rules.

The 30-year-old has revealed he is already training in the United States.

“I love the game; I miss the game. I can’t wait to get out there and help my team win games, score goals and get assists,” Sturridge told the Oxford Union podcast.

“That’s my main focus. I am training in America at the moment. I am getting my body right and getting in good shape.

“I will be ready and raring to go when my ban is up. I am eagerly awaiting that. So I am really excited about that and it being over with and getting on with it.”

I was hoping him or Lallana would come to Toronto.

sounds like LCFC are keen on Lallana, the rumours have been pretty consistent anyhow.

yeah, great skills but never really had the physicality needed to play a regular part in Klopp's system.

He's also 32. Apart from a freak of nature in Milner - that tends to be the outside edge of a Klopp midfielder.

Yep and he seemed to continually pick up one niggling injury after another as aged.

Stevie is 40. this is a really EXCELLENT article about his growing up, and career.

    https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...angers-torres-houllier-birthday-a9538001.html

"At his peak he was the best in the world,” was Zinedine Zidane’s assessment. Francesco Totti would circle him as “the captain of my World XI dream team.” For Paolo Maldini, “his story is one of those stories to be told, one of those fairytales, to be narrated to your children and grandchildren.”

I cant wait to pay $135 for a ticket to go to the GOYA FOODS AND SEASONINGS Stadium after paying $35 to park at the HECTOR LUIS MEDINA ALBURIZ, III, MEMORIAL parking garage, sweating through my clothes in the two block walk to the stadium, paying $16 for a can of Presidente beer, see Daniel pull up in training before the game, and not play the match. At least the half time show is guaranteed to be exciting when Shakira and Pharrell parachute into the stadium to perform, before Pharrell has to leave for his 7:30 and 10:15 nightly shows at his local restaurant (called Swan).

Oh my God I love Miami.

The article touches on it slightly - I’ve always thought Phil’s game is too similar to Messi and therefore struggles to find the right role and impact. I do feel badly for Phil as I really enjoyed his time here and seems a genuinely good dude - the nature of his departure aside.

As for Barca...karma’s a bitch and they deserve the epic loss last season and their current financial predicament. Yes, I’m petty.

Emre Can scored a second-half winner as Borussia Dortmund maintained slim hopes of winning the Bundesliga title by edging to victory over Hertha Berlin.

Salif Diao & Rigobert Song should be in the top ten there...
