This is the least she could do considering you may have approved her abandoning the team and fans to make money on her own camps and book tours!!!

And people wonder why the Dash failed?

    No wonder!
As a long time supporter of the women's game, I cannot stand how poorly run our Dash side of our club is. Our market here in the GHA is ripe for supporting a women pro team, however, folks need to know that the club itself cares! Time and again, our Dash players were sent a message that a certain individual player was BIGGER than the team as a whole. Which in team sports is a death nail!
Then the complete lack of marketing and people will always vote with their feet!

I love these losers who get worked up over this stuff - JJ Watt is what, 100 times more known than his fiancée?

Are these complainers even male? Do they have any male characteristics?

I didn't forget anything. I chose to post the schedule. That's what I care about. The rest is just an attempt at marketing which doesn't bother me either way.

6 weeks no posts - huh, can’t wait for all the social justice lockdown warriors to reverse themselves when their NWSL season may get cancelled. Ironically, because their crowds are so small they may have an easier time getting clearance to come back

well we’ve already seen politicians start to claim that the virus is racist in Detroit and Chicago so I’m sure the women’s soccer people will have an angle that MLS can’t restart until the NWSL does

Hmmmmm - USSF got a pretty good ruling for summary judgment, which definitely shifts leverage back to the Federation

    This aged well:

“Asked in March what it would take to avoid a trial this year, Rapinoe replied acidly, “An actual offer for equal pay, and some considerable damages as well.””

yeah that’s not happening. And the social justice warriors will scream and yell and insult the judge but they lost at summary judgment - that’s like being declared the loser after the pregame show

Julie Fowdy embarassing herself on ESPN trying to spin this legal loss. There’s a great part of the ruling where the judge says the women can’t complain that they collectively bargained and agreed to a deal that they only didn’t like after they realized in hindsight they’d been better off with taking a different deal they had been offered with fewer guarantees but more bonuses

That was the basic point, they made the deal and then wanted more money. They were never discriminated against. But, as we have discussed before, this case was like women's soccer in general, more of a cause than a sport to many.

It seems almost every high profile female soccer player or fan is a hard core SJW always blaming a made up problem on men. Honestly, I cannot stand the USWNT.

These left wing writers (I think Murray is also of a different personal lifestyle as well) just can't take the L here - they've twisted a ruling FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT into some type of mechanism to blame the men's team for the women losing their lawsuit. It's like she didn't read the ruling - the reason they lost is because they collectively bargained for an agreement that contained guaranteed and benefits and turned down the men's deal structure, then didn't like the results of their deal.

Not to mention I think they wanted US Soccer to pay them fictional prize money that FIFA doesn't pay out as well.

For those who wonder why twitter is poor reflection of reality, the reaction to this lawsuit is exhibit #1.

They are all annoying at this point. And in the midst of 30% unemployment they get no sympathy either. Without left wing ESPN and others in the media pushing them, no one would care about them.

If they were as popular as twitter and the liberal media makes them out to be, they wouldn't have these revenue problems. No one goes to NWSL games, hell they probably lose less money cancelling the season than actually playing.

For all those who want to yell gender equity, I don't think women's tennis has this problem.

“In the meantime, people familiar with the NWSL’s plans say clubs are split on whether the league can afford to stage contests in empty stadiums. Some teams, such as the Thorns and Utah Royals FC, which draw well, rely on gate revenue; others, such as the Houston Dash, were not expecting much in the way of ticket sales anyway. They might be able to forge an agreement if a sponsor is willing to eat some of the cost.”

Is anyone surprised that the Title IX princesses are threatening to boycott this? To try and gain leverage? It’s like they wasn’t to tank the NWSL

so the same group of Title IX princesses that are suing US Soccer now wants US Soccer to kill a tourney to give them cover? These women are delusional!

    https://www.yahoo.com/sports/the-nw...gue-back-but-is-it-a-good-idea-154409340.html

“One player-side source expressed hope to Yahoo Sports that U.S. Soccer would refuse to give its blessing to the tournament, giving USWNT players an out without being subject to criticism from fans. But U.S. Soccer, which has been accused in the past of meddling in league scheduling too much, is leaving it up to the NWSL to develop and execute this plan”

This back and forth of our elite U.S. women players of blaming the USSF and as well at the same time asking for assistance from the USSF is, well, I don't know what the specific word is but the word "wonky" that has popped up these days in our culture's lexicon sounds about right.
It's like blaming the soccer ball for wanting to be round!

The NWSL is going to have a 2020 tournament in Utah starting on June 27.

    https://www.nwslsoccer.com/news/article/nwsl-announces-2020-challenge-cup-presented-by-pg-and-secret

All 9 NWSL teams will play 4 preliminary games to establish seeding. The top 8 will then play a knock-out tournament. That means a total of 25 games ending with a final on July 26.

All games will be at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah. That is where the Real Monarchs SLC (USL-C) play. I believe that the field is still a form of field turf. No spectators will be allowed.

EDIT: The opener and final will be at Rio Tinto Stadium on grass. There may be other games on grass at the training center.

The opening game and final will be broadcast on CBS, the rest of the tournament will be streamed live on CBS All-Access. Replays of the games will be CBS Sport Network.

The full schedule should be announced soon.

The national team players may participate:

"Consistent with that value, the USWNTPA and the USSF (United States Soccer Federation) have agreed that each WNT (Women's National Team) Player may choose for herself whether to participate in the NWSL 2020 Challenge Cup, and the USWNTPA and the USSF will provide support to each Player in whatever decision she makes.

"The USWNTPA will continue to work with the USSF, the NWSL, and the NWSLPA to minimize the risk of injury and exposure to COVID-19 for those Players participating in the tournament."

This is interesting but a few comments/updates:

    1) this tournament is taking the place of the regular season in all likelihood. IT was reported earlier in the day it was a full substitute but it was backed off later in the day by saying they aren't "ruling out playing further in the fall". Sponsors are picking up a good amount of the costs and the RSL owner is giving them a lot of facilities for free as well which is what makes this cost effective. A short sponsor-subsidized season is actually much better for the teams than a longer no-fan season - they will save on operating and travel costs from August 1st on and I think they are going with smaller rosters than normal. Player salaries are guaranteed, a real upside for the players.

    2) With all of the "doomers" and Karens out there on the lockdown forever side I find it funny how the "woke" media and Title IX cheerleaders all of sudden think its OK to fly the NWSL players to Utah on short notice and start up competitive play sooner than any other professional league, all of whom have more resources. We have to keep New Jersey under communist rule until 2021 but let's have Sky Blue FC play in a month in Utah? Funny how opinions change.

    3) The USWNT players will be front and center of a controversy again - somehow anyone who declines to go to Utah and play still gets paid their full salary which is really rich considering most who don't return to work get fired.

    4) Its actually a very good strategic move to start early and get some eyeballs on it (although with games mostly on CBS All Access I wonder about that) but let's be real - its the only cost-effective way to get something of a season in and have sponsors pick up the cost. The NWSL would have zero hope of drawing anyone in most markets and with no fans and no TV contracts they would be toast without P&G and others subsidizing this tournament.

    5) Coming out on the other side of this in 2021 . . . . . who knows. A lot of business models will need to be redone or flipped.
