Looks like Barca are in need of more attacking options. Hopefully, they stay away from Vela. Not sure if this is even possible(since it is out of the transfer window) but...

"However, Barca are said to be confident of securing special dispensation from authorities to bring in reinforcements outside of the transfer window following this latest setback."

We are proud of our long history working alongside @LAFC
since its founding, and we look forward to continuing our partnership to support the team and to serve our community.

AFC and Banc of California are restructuring their partnership. [IMG] The restructuring will include the bank eventually stepping away from its naming-rights position on LAFC’s stadium, while continuing to serve as LAFC’s primary banking partner.

So... LAFC is going to look for a new sponsor for the field?

MLS to allow advertising logo on players’ shorts, also on other sleeve. Meantime, some teams looking to skip USL season.

I am sure its posted elsewhere, but I will post this question here after watching the CCL. Is it now time for LAFC to really think about a little more defensive mojo ? They were 20 minutes from going to the WCC. I know its the old adage, but defense wins championships. Pretty much a healthy fully rested squad, but yes I know Artesta was out. Other thoughts or ideas going forward?

What do you guys think Thorrington and Bob are gonna do with the roster? New DP? Young Money acquisitions? People are saying the new discretionary spends will lead to "the rich getting richer". So I hope we see at YM signing at LW (to prep for Rossi's exit) and ST or 10. And a DP signing at ST or 10.

I think it depends on if BRod sticks with Almeria. The lost today to leaders Mallorca 2-0, and BRod came on in the 85th minute. If Almeria is promoted it is likely he stays. If not LAFC will have him back from May onward. Someone mentioned that players like Ginella and Cifu might be restructured under the sub-22 program and that could make some wiggle room for someone new.

Oh I didn't know the program could apply retroactively. I'm excited to see what Baird and Musovski can do as well. But most likely someone will get brought in at the 9... Facundo Torres at Penarol maybe? There are lots in the MLS media bubble talking about LAFC and Aguero who just announced he would be leaving Man City in the summer when his contract expires. I'm bummed we won't be in CCL again this year.

I think the club needs to look at reinforcing the midfield, tbh. We need a solid partner for Atuesta. Kaye was very disappointing and honestly has regressed a lot from the inaugural season. He is not reliable.

I liked the look of Cifuentes and of course, Blessing. Wasn’t terribly impressed with Ginella.

A goalie should be a priority.

I agree with this for the most part. Idk if an upgrade offensively at the 10 over blessing would expose us defensively. Kaye struggled with fitness all year but should at least compete with Cifu. Agreed on Ginella. He doesn't quite fit any role in our midfield right now. What options do we really have at GK? I can't imagine we sign someone new without moving Vermeer.

LAFC signed a couple of decent players (counting Murillo’s permanency) with the Korean RB and unloading BRod for half the season. We still need a replacement for DIo - that’s been the hole. Too many wingers.

What expectations do we have of Baird? Is he going to be a backup winger, push Rossi to the 9, or play the 9 in a Dio mold?

Don't know much about him but he is listed as yet another winger. Without a Dio up top the defense doesn't have much to worry about and space will be harder to find. You can't tika-taka your way through a low block in every match.

Do you mean replacing Dio's dribbling ability/finishing (two things Baird does well), strength/holdup play, or speed to stretch the defense?
