If Favre isn't sacked by the end of the season then Watzke deserves a punch in the face. He said he wanted BVB to win the league this season, and it's clearly never gonna happen under Favre, so he better back up his words.

it would feel like a missed opportunity if this current squad doesn't win a trophy. With a top coach I think it would be possible. Both last season and this season were good chances, Bayern were not at their best by any means. Now they are getting stronger again.

Exactly, and that’s the case with Bayern and RBL, they press with an high intensity, the ball goes finally to Bürki, he kicks it high up, and the possession is lost. And that’s the weakness of LF, he looks clueless. He said before that every game is the same. WTF

Ten Hag is a realistic appointment, and would be an upgrade imo.

lets face it, the board is usually just lip service.. They are comfortable selling off parts and making profit only. Being a runner up still makes them money and thats all the board wants.

Nagelsmann and Havertz should be top priorities this offseason if the board is serious about challenging for trophies.

I think Nagelsmann, Ten Hag or Pochettino would be better appointments then Kovac tbh.

And you never know, maybe if Man City lose their appeal and get banned, Pep might fancy a different challenge.....;)

Again, we won ahead of United, they are getting really frustrated how young players choose BvB before ManU..
But for how long will we be a farmer club for young lads?
As i read, we offered him immediately chance for starting XI and when you add up Reyna, next season in the first 14-15 players, you will have 2 17 year old kids.. And you want to win something..

Well, 75% of that article is basically about how stupid such a trade would be for us until it concludes with the equivalent of "But who knows, god works in mysterious ways". And it ends with bs about fans speculating why Sancho's on the bench. It's the same reason why Can and Witsel didn't start. There is no mystery.

AFAIK Pochettino doesn't speak a word of German, so he's out of the question, so our best bet is Ten Hag or Nagelsmann. As for Guardiola, that smug Catalan only coaches readymade teams that are guaranteed to win league titles, and I personally don't want him after his disrespectful remarks about the Bundesliga, so fvck him.

I think we'd be a great option for Pep:
    1) He gets to coach a team not made of superstars, and prove Mou wrong when the latter implied that Pep wins because he coaches teams made of the best of the best.
    2) Our squad is actually capable of playing the brand of football he likes.

    So? Pep? You in?

If we take on Sanchez then sadly I will follow another team. In truth I probably wouldnt but Id hate the board and coaching staff even more than I currently do.

Sadly I understand their view and goals. They buy up wonderkids and hope at least half pan out making them money on Champions League, league play and sales and sustain a model profit doing that. At the end of the day the board just needs to make money and they really wont care about the product on the field so long as it makes them money.

Now even Kicker is reporting that the talks with Bürki haven't progressed and that an extension isn't as clear anymore as it seemed to be a few monthsa go. They also mentioned this Chelsea rumor.

I'm getting tired of seeing that narrative repeated again and again when it has absolutely no basis. Whenever I ask who the last player was whose sale was initated by the club for the sake of making money, I never get a real response. The reality is, the club didn't want to sell the likes of Götze, Kagawa, Lewa, Hummels, Gündo, Miki or Dembele. Recently, the club wanted to extend with Pulisic and he declined and the club wants/wanted to extend with Sancho.
What I can remember is that Watzke once said that there is a responsibility to listen to extraordinary offers. It's not the board that is shopping the players around, though, it's the players that move on for various reasons (money and choosing easier paths for titles being the major ones). But it's not our business model (as in those transfers being needed for financial survival) to buy young talents and offload them after one or two good seasons.

So why do you think that we cant keep players then? Every single player wants out? It isnt wages. Looking at comparative clubs around the world compare to our ranking in the fifa clubs then.

Selling pulisc was a great idae btw.

There are probably many reasons coming together:
    - We aren't a destination club and we'd need consistent success for many years to get even close to Bayern's status in Germany
    - We don't have the attraction that the likes of Madrid have. It's simply something different to put on the white shirt.
    - We aren't one of the clear CL contenders every year.
    - Dembele level talent wants titles and comparable talent around them. As Hummels said about Götze and which later turned out to be hypocritical: He chose the easier way to compete for titles.
    - Acquiring young talents who are open from the start that we are only a stepping stone for them

I think Kagawa and Pulisic were genuinely attracted to the Premier League which had also cultural reasons. And while we got better at paying competitive wages, I think Gündogan and Lewa are examples for a time when we were less competitive in that department.

It was towards the end of the 2013-14 season, his first one in charge of Bayern. In an interview he compared the Spanish league to a five star restaurant, whilst the Bundesliga felt like eating at a fast food joint, making it clear how little he thinks of the Bundesliga. He later apologized for his comments of course, but still, those comments made me wish he got kicked in the face.

Is he wrong though? Currently it is snow white and the 7 dwarves.... Its like France. Lack of competition is hurting our league. We need good teams that contend with Bayern.

It's not categorically the case that every player on the cusp of stardom wants to leave BVB. Each player has his own reasons.
