In his defense, RBL played quite well when Adams was out for half the season. Makes sense that they wouldn’t screw around with that too much. Adams has to take what he can get.
Interview with Grant Wahl: TODAY'S THE DAY: My new podcast, Fútbol with Grant Wahl, is up featuring my interview with Tyler Adams of the USMNT and Leipzig on everything surrounding the return of the German Bundesliga, plus we talk USMNT @tyler_adams14 SUBSCRIBE, RATE, REVIEW: https://t.co/A1kX0uYUEg pic.twitter.com/YJI6CgbAI7— Subscribe to GrantWahl.com (@GrantWahl) May 18, 2020
Tyler might not start tomorrow: Upamecano returns from yellow accumulation and Sabitzer is 100%. (from Kicker)
Per Wiki: "Wahl was fired from Sports Illustrated on April 10, 2020, after criticizing Maven CEO James Heckman for his handling of pay cuts during the coronavirus pandemic. Heckman responded by criticizing Wahl's work and hesitance to volunteer for a permanent pay cut."
Grant Wahl has nothing interesting to say. I can’t believe anyone would want to listen to his podcast.
He has access to interesting people but doesn't add anything. He will be fine and will find himself at a better organization than Sports illustrated
Yeah, great stuff in there. Confirms the shit talking Tyler says out there. I also found interesting that everyone thought that Sargent is very good player. Nice little jab by Feilhaber at MLS for the dumb homegrown territory stuff.
I mean Sargent is the poster child for why it's dumb. He said as much as he was leaving. With regards to Adams, I wonder if there are any other potential guys in the NYRB pipeline that could make a similar transition.
- grant wahl pods are dependent on the guest. Wahl has the charisma of a gold fish. - Tyler isn’t a rb. He doesn’t have the quick hip flexibility to be able to defend as a rb. He’s incredibly quick disrupting play vertically in midfield but his skill set doesn’t work well for a rb. Naglesman doesn’t seem to rate him as much as Rolf did.
Yeah, but the fact that he's willing to find a way to get him into the lineup at some position, especially ones that don't play to his strengths, say something about his feelings about Tyler.
He’s on the bench. Don’t mind as long as he comes in at DM and not RB. Hopefully he can start over the weekend but I can’t stand that the coach considers him a RB only now.
This thread title isn’t helping the mood. The little voice in my head reads it is Right Back Leipzig.
Konrad Laimer goes off injured in the 42nd minute and is replaced by Nordi Mukiele. It is 3-0 Leipzig now.
Adams on in the 60th minute for Sabitzer. He is playing in the midfield. It's a HAT TRICK for Timo Werner! 🎩 pic.twitter.com/hrjexxmvsa— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) May 24, 2020 Adams won the free kick that Poulsen sent long to Werner.
Adams didn’t miss a beat in his 30 or so minutes. Looked very calm on the ball, like he was out for a casual stroll (which he was because Mainz is really, really bad)
