There is nothing that suggests that the season will be abandoned now anyway. Germany lit a fire and i think most Leagues will try to follow up, applying the "well, the Germans did it and it's working out for them" kind of political pressure.
I've read about the Germans doing it even in NBA forums. So yeah, they lit the torch and everyone else will follow. Them and that Korean baseball league
Courtois grabbed the microphone and said "Madrid cabron, saludo el capeon" and now claims he always talked about joining Real Madrid. Either this guy is a sucker or he thinks we are the suckers.
He's talking about what they discussed while at Chelsea. Courtois chants were when he was playing for Atlético. Then returned to Chelsea when his loan deal ended.
He was on loan at Atletico. It's exactly why i say that he has to be a sucker and got pressured into going natimadridista or he believes that we are the suckers to believe that he was an admirer even though he was a vocal antimadridista. Kroos didn't need to perform these kind of fan pleasing antics, and neither should anybody else without any strong ties to the club. Both Tibo and Hazard have a debt to repay. Buttering us up with "we always admired Madrid" doesn't cut it. We're not idiots.
Maybe I’m in the minority with this one but I don’t see TC having to repay anything really, we bought him for cheap, he’s totally transformed his game and has won us points this season. I’m not going to read too much into something he shouted into a mic 5/6 years ago as a 20 yr old after he’s won a league title which happens to be one of the most generic things a player can say. Hazard is another story.
Morata is doing the same thing right now. Real Madrid badge kissing and now saying that he always dreamed of playing for Atleti. Just miserable. I'm not going to pretend it's any different when players flip it and do it for our favor.
Most football players are fair weathered though. Personally I couldn’t care less about Morata kissing the Atleti badge, it’s in his best interest for their fans to like him just like it was in Tibo’s when he was saying Chelsea were his long term home a year before leaving. There’s at most a handful of players who were really emotionally invested in Madrid before coming here and who would stick with us if it all goes tits up tomorrow. And it’s the case for every big team in Europe.
Courtois, on whether he talks about the goal of the Tenth with Sergio Ramos, in El Mundo: “A lot. There is a photo in the locker room and from time to time we watch the game on RMTV. For me it is sad, but it is already forgotten. The goal happened very, very close to my hand.” Pues no lo sé. Es extraño. Voy a preguntar.— Arancha Rodríguez (@AranchaMOBILE) May 24, 2020

This guy is incredible! Doesn’t get the credit he deserves. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think he’s one of the best if not the best GK in the world right now.
Gotta show him some love. I wasn’t convinced by him at all early on but the guy has been quietly stellar. Lot of really great saves keeping us in matches. Props to TBO.
It really speaks volumes for a player to go from having his confidence shattered like he did to playing like he is now. At Real Madrid of all clubs!
Thibaut Courtois has 16 La Liga clean sheets this season. No goalkeeper in Europe’s top five leagues has more 🔒 pic.twitter.com/Ug3jjyakcQ— B/R Football (@brfootball) July 2, 2020
- Most clean sheets in Europe (17)- Least league goals conceded (21)- Least goals conceded in Europe- Best Real Madrid defense in 32 yearsStatistically, the best GK in the world. pic.twitter.com/uI545KOe4w— Ryan. (@Rygista) July 2, 2020 So glad he's turned it around after being under so much pressure due to poor form last season and that CL game early this year. Shows he has a strong character. Edit: 16 clean sheets, I think.
He is back to his Atletico form. He has kept us in the ugly games. Props to him for bouncing back in a major way.
