Personal favorite is Spirited Away; I think it's the best representation of Anime and the best anime film of all time. Very important overall in animation film making.

I heard that Barranquilla's field is looking horrible lately. Looks like unplayable patches where water puddles gather.

Maybe it is a good thing we did not have the Copa America. Gives the grounds keepers some time to fix whatever the issue is.

I am just saying, When we do get back into action hopefully the field looks much better.

If we would have played on what I have seen in pictures we would have been a laughing stock hosting major games in the Summer.

Well yeah; no sports no reason to maintenance on the fields. Especially since overall they would be considered non-essential.

At least from i've read its been suspended right?

So have you guys been re-watching any of our matches online? Whenever I am not making YouTube videos I am typically browsing for old highlights of certain players or matches that I am fond of.

    Or Power Rangers/Starwars shit Rofl.

I do wish that we had the convenience to watch older matches from over a decade ago. Hell I wish that we could see a nice line of important matches from any year.

Bein showed a replay of Brasil-Colombia from 2019.

    My take away:
    1) Medina is not as bad as everyone says he is. He really pounded Neymar and stuck with him the whole game like a shadow and I think Queiroz likes that physical style of play.

    2) Roger can be such a great player on the wings if he get's his Mexican club situation straightened out. He was very active and made Brasil look very slow on many occasions with his speed and skill. (Did that same thing to Argentina in the Copa so maybe he is the type to show up for big teams and look mediocre against everyone else. :p)

    3) I miss Duvan prior to his injury. The guy was a physical beast but also played with subtle technique. I hope he get's back to pre-injury form.

James Rodriguez needs to find himself...by that I mean he needs to find the James of old especially because it looks like he could be on his way out of his club already

I have had this "hot take" for a while now but I think Queiroz just does not really care about James anymore.

In fact, James has not been a part of the team for a while now with Queiroz strictly focusing on three pure strikers up top during friendlies with creative players not being a priority.

That will give us flexibility in many ways because it is more system based and less reliant on individuality, but as we have seen there are some growing pains.
It makes it a lot less fun to watch as fans, more ridged tactically. and more European style which can get repetitive and predictable in attack.

Are you talking about the friendly in Miami 2-2 game?

The best way to describe Medina is that he is a “tale of two cities” in most of the friendlies I have seen him play, he’s solid, makes excellent crosses and runs and brings the physicality like you just described.

Then there are the official games (and I’m not even talking 14WCQ games) where he appears overwhelmed and is timid to the point where other midfielders have to drop down to help or he’s afraid to push up in the attack.

I’m all about having a roster of 23 starters but I just don’t have that level of comfort that I had whenever Zuniga or Arias started. Orejuela and Palacios havent dont much to impress either (can’t really recall either making a real impact at this point).

I hope Duvan has been hitting the gym and is ready to go! All this time off should hopefully been productive for our boys to either return to fitness or get stronger!

    Yes, the 2-2 in Miami.

Yes, when compared to someone like Zuniga....

... Medina is not even playing the same sport at times (way out of his league) but it is what it is. We do not have many guys playing well at RB these days with the skill and attacking prowess of Zuniga.
And a guy like Arias is not getting consistent club playing time and seems to be someone Queiroz does not trust.

So for the time being Medina seems to be our starter for the rest of this cycle unless things change and I do not see him being that bad of an option.

The good news is that there may be some younger/inexperienced options that may develop this cycle.

Muñoz from Nacional is going to Belgium and he was listed as a Defender by many sites during the pre-list for March. At Nacional he apparently has been playing all over the place but if he is listed as a Defender then RB could be where Queiroz sees him as contributing.

I really like the Sub23 player Herrera and the way he plays and attacks but he is still raw. And as long as he plays in Colombia may not be given a chance unless he goes to Nacional.

Because he could!! the man is a beast and a great player.

I am sad that he is going so fast. I am worried that he could be lost in Genk. I knew that Muñoz wasn't going to last long on Nacional, but Genk?. I would have loved to see him going to Ajax or something like that. He has the quality.

But I also understand that this is a buyers time. And with poor finances due to Coronavirus the team needs revenues to stay afloat.

Going to Genk may be better for his career since there are two other Colombians there and they can help him acclimate and adjust to Europe.

If he does well there the Bigger clubs will be calling soon.

When Muñoz got injured before his first call up, he was replaced by Yairo. Obviously, Quieroz has used Yairo exclusively as an 8, and I remember Muñoz was playing 8 a lot at that time.

Edwin Herrera is a beast in the making. His size might be a turn off for Quieroz...

Good point about him being replaced by Yairo (who ironically plays on the other side of the field at LB for Leon but I digress).

At that time it could have been a like- for- like replacement at midfield but as I said many of the lists released by the media and even wikipedia have him listed as a Defender so who knows how Queiroz feels about it currently. It could just be the media speculating but it could have been leaked as well.

On the Federation's official website the list is just one long numerical list without positional categories.
