Something's off here: on one hand, you have Concacaf claiming that they'll need to come up with a new WCQ format due to the truncated calendar - and the current one had 14 total matchdays (including the Hex 4th/Tier II winner playoff).

On the other, you have Conmebol insisting that they'll still play out all 18 matchdays in the regular WCQ league.

So will there be enough matchdays or not? The only resolution I see on Conmebol's side is playing multiple WCQ in June 2021 ahead of the Copa América - and telling the clubs to buzz off, since they had their turn to run the players into the ground the previous summer
