As also written in the Sabbi thread, then the Superliga is back on track so this season will be finished and the first game, AGF Aarhus v Randers, will be played on 29. May, where AGF Aarhus will be presenting the worlds first virtual soccer grandstands and stadium (you can pick up your free virtual ticket) : https://www.agf.dk/football-is-back-in-denmark-the-worlds-first-virtual-grandstand-opens-in-aarhus/ FCN and Amon are most likely to face Silkeborg on 31. May in their first game after the "Coronavirus break".
The Superliga schedule is now in place ...FCN and Amon are to face Silkeborg on 29. May in their first game after the "Coronavirus break".
Old article, but back when transfer speculation was hottest Amon made a cameo on Opta’s analytics blog: https://www.optasportspro.com/news-...ession-value-to-identify-recruitment-targets/ He was their top inverted winger candidate on the numbers, and if they knew about him a scouting department would too. Hopefully he can return to that form.
If Amon had been Danish he would surely have been picked for the Danish NT long ago, if not for his many injuries ... and the Danish NT has not lost a single NT match since 2016, so it's not like they are in need of new talent, but Amon was the best of best the when actually playing.
He is training, according to their own website ... they even used a picture of him in their article about their players training in groups of 6 or 8 : https://fcn.dk/2020/04/fc-nordsjaellands-spillere-traener-igen/
Like Taitague, who got hurt while in quarantine; it is to the point where I expect news of an injury at any second.
Injuried. Just had surgery so he will be out the rest of this season.— Julio Salinas (@JulioSalinas_18) May 23, 2020 I heard it was the knee this time— Julio Salinas (@JulioSalinas_18) May 24, 2020
Yea this kid is broke off. Sucks. Kinda sad to see the newbie fans experience such disappointment as if it doesn’t happen like honestly half the time. Happy trails! And poor kid...USL?
It has to be said that is was not his usual sprinting muscle injuries, that now seem to have been fixed by keeping him more focused on the way he is suppose to be training to avoid this kind of injuries. This time he suffered a knee injury and meniscus tear that was in need of surgery. He has just been very unlucky so far I'm afraid... At least he is at a club that will help and support him all the way and not just dump him for being injured too much.
Transfer News : FCN have hired the 37-yo former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien as new assistant coach. Then we will see if he also know a thing or two about knee and muscle injuries, so he can help Amon to stay fit for fight. Otherwise they have sold their 20-yo midfielder Mohammed Kudus to Ajax for € 9 million ($10.6 million) and likewise 20-yo Danish U-21 international Mikkel Damsgaard to Sampdoria for € 6.5 million ($7.6 million), so FCN do not seem to have been troubled by the corona-related financial problems that otherwise has struck the European clubs and transfer market. https://www.transfermarkt.com/fc-nordsjaelland/alletransfers/verein/2778
I have no connection to Amon or any other soccer player. It amusing to read threads from two years ago. The right and wrong takes (I had a few bad ones here) I don’t personally care if this player retires tomorrow or labors away in poor Scandinavian leagues for the next decade. It has zero impact on my soccer experience. I move on to the next player who will impact the national team.
The only "funny" thing is that even back then he was also often injured, but still more than good enough to impress and make an impact when he was playing, which in itself is quite remarkable, because it usually take quite some time to become match-fit and not look rusty. Still, with a knee injury and meniscus tear that was in need of surgery around 3 month ago, I'm not sure how long it will take before he is fit for fight ... at least it happened during the corona virus "break".
He is only 21 and had he been free of injuries and playing a full season, he would probably be worth as much on the transfer market as a Mohammed Kudus who they sold for more than $10 million, even during a corona-virus crisis that has struck most clubs hard financially and have made them think more than twice before throwing money at new players. Denmark is not as badly struck financially as the rest of Europe, because the clubs are receiving financial support besides also being allowed up to 10,000 people in the stands, and there is no reason to write off a player who is only 21. As for Denmark in general, then the top-5 exports are packaged medicament's which is 3 times as large as pig meat in 2nd place (Denmark has less than 6 million people but 5,000 pig farms that produce around 28 million pigs annually), refined petroleum, electric generating sets (mainly windmills) and Cheese... besides obviously also LEGO bricks, Carlsberg beer and a large beverage and food industry in general and Maersk, the largest container ship and supply vessel operator in the world, and since we all need to eat and drink and have not been less worried about our heath and need all the stuff shipped, besides probably also drinking more and having had more spare time for LEGO, they are actually doing much better than they usually would. LEGO has said that they have especially been selling vastly more of their expensive sets made for adults, which I guess makes good sense, when lots of people have been told to stay at home. https://nypost.com/2020/09/02/lego-sales-spike-as-toys-help-families-through-covid-19-pandemic/
Former Arsenal CB Johan Djourou is on trial at FCN. The very young FCN team, that mainly are good at holding on to and passing the ball around, could use a tall, strong and experienced CB with the primary skills being physique and heading, which is what they seem to lack, so I guess he fits that description. So long that he is no "Igors Stepanovs" (a former Arsenal CB who was one of the worst CB's to have played for Esbjerg, the very short time he was there.) But then Stepanovs was also only a joke that went too far at Arsenal it would seem : https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/transfer-news/igors-stepanovs-arsenal-latest-news-18017255

Just so people don't get alarmed. I am told he's going to be taken out around the 30th minute. This early removal in the first half is prearranged. The opponent is a very low 6th division side, so the score is not expected to be close.
