Has anyone seen much of Sandro Tonali? There was a headline today where Pirlo was talking about him, and holy smokes this kid looks the real deal. I dont think we have much immediate need for a midfielder, but I could see him shining in the premier league. He's got fantastic anticipation, movement, and strength on the ball. Seems to be a brilliant prospect for Italy, and a good marriage between a prototypical italian midfielder who makes beautiful passes and movement, and a modern player with physicality and incisiveness.
Based on that highlight reel, I'd love to have him....particularly if he can stay healthy. We have enough Mids who can't these days.
He looks to me more like Gini than Pirlo. He's tight in possession, is incisive, forward thinking, and relieves pressure/opens field for teammates by inviting pressure on himself. He's in a 3 way signing race with Juve, Milan, and Inter, so I'd say he's the real deal.
I actually agree. I dont see him as a potential target for us this summer, or in the near-future, but who knows what the future holds. I simply see him as someone with the qualities that could succeed in our team, and in the Premier league. The type of player that you bring in because their strengths match what your team style is, not the type you bring in to re-adjust the team around. Sometimes there's just something you can see in players that shows that they can adapt. I think he has it.
Roma appear in position to transfer Dejan Lovren to Rome this summer for only 5.5m. RB Leipzig are increasingly confident that Timo Werner will complete a move to Liverpool this summer and are lining up a move for Werder Bremen winger Milot Rashica with the money raised from the German’s sale, according to reports. Rather ironically, Rashica has been linked with a move to the Reds this summer. Honestly, I'd rather spend the 20m on the 23 yr old with time to learn/improve and something to prove than Werner, who I think will require a change in tactics to accommodate. The Red Devils and Liverpool are both interested in 25-year-old Benfica striker Carlos Vinicius according to Portuguese media.
Liverpool have joined the race along with several European giants for Red Bull Salzburg’s 19-year-old Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai. I hope he works out better than the last crop of Hungarian youngsters we bought...

Kyrgiakos was a madlad. I dont recall much about Upson, but I do recall Kyrgiakos with some affection.
he wasn’t bad for 1.5m. Slow as hell but strong too. That time period was so weird - some players must have been pinching themselves that they were being asked to play for Liverpool. Konchesky, Poulsen, Jovanovic, etc.
