Yeah it sounds like more than just bouncing a check Nice try. I worked at security pacific bank in San Luis Obispo for years and they don’t press charges for a bounced check. They write it off and ding your credit. Fraud is provable intent.— hollygirl2008 B.S. Comp Sci., MBA (@hollygirl2008) May 9, 2020
This reminds me of the Virgin Mary story. There are times when a little white lie to save yourself some embarrassment can get totally out of control.
No, I didn't want a never ending investigation. That is a tired, Trumpian talking point. Note that noone accused Gorsich of anything like this. No one was looking for a never ending investigation with him. Why? Perhaps because he didn't shove his dick in women's faces when he was a drunk college idiot. Look, I have been consistent. When Franken was accused by multiple women for groping, my reply was, "you have 5 million people in Minnesota. No one is entitled to be Senator. Find someone who will represent you well and doesn't have a history of abusing women." I said the very same thing about Kavanaugh. As soon as there were multiple allegations, my question is why? Lil'Brett would be just fine as he would go back to the DC Circuit, and there are PLENTY of qualified, super conservative judges who wouldn't have these accusations hanging over their heads. At the time, I gave the names of a few very conservative women judges (Diane Sykes comes to mind) who I don't agree with on a lot of things, but who are super qualified, and would have upheld all of the conervative principles you were looking for. When the Yale story broke, and appeared to be corroborated, it would have been nice if you, and others like you, said, "bye bye Brett. You screwed yourself, and we can do better." Because, you could have done better.
Nope. We should be very careful here, however. People who commit bank fraud are still entitled to not be sexually assaulted. I always found this tactic to be questionable. We see this a lot in the police abuse/shooting cases, where a "side" will examine the past of a victim to make it seem as if the shooting were justified. Having said that, a history of fraud definitely calls into question a person's credibility, generally. This entire claim kind of rests on her credibility as a she said/he said matter without a lot of corroborating evidence. Still, it is a bit tricky. For me, the longer this drags out with no other credible claims from other women, the more I am convinced that she is either not being truthful, or really embellishing some event that took place nearly thirty years ago.
There is also some discussion of a novel her father (deceased) wrote (published 1998) describing nearly identical assault. The question here is, did he use her as a source for material on the assault. If so, he's a monster. Allegedly, she's also accused him and a number of other people of sexually assaulting / harassing her, including her ex-husband and another former employer
Does that standard apply to Joe Biden also? After all he has a long history of embellishment, tall tales, lying, and plagiarism. And we won't even get into all the messy family entanglements.
I think you've lost your argument when you cite one of those Pyongyang Polly news anchors at Fox to bolster your point. Bouncing checks happen, especially to people who are young and broke. I switched banks and some old checks came back, so I had to tell them that I get paid next Thursday, so I'll pay you then. That was good enough, and it was the end of it all. If this is true, it has to be a lot more than that.
I don't have an argument, as I don't know if the allegations are true or not. This is a he said/she said argument and e congressional records are not going to be opened up Biden wins. For me the thread is more about hypocrisy. As for Megan Kelly, she has a track record of fighting sexual harassment/assault in the work place. She help force out Rodger Ailes at FOX and did the same for Matt Lauer at NBC (you do realize she worked at NBC right?).
Well, he went through a rigorous vetting process and no dirt turned up for 8 years as veep. Also, I'm not sure if honesty is a path you want to go down considering his opponent. As to family entanglements, which of Trump's three marriages should we examine in comparison.
I am not voting for his opponent, so by all means, let's go down the honesty and character path. And I'd love to hear more about Biden's family entanglements, lot's of colorful stories there and a lot tawdry financial dealings too. It should be fun comparing the Trumps and the Bidens.
And when Hunter's name comes up we aren't going to hide behind that lame excuse that "children" shouldn't be dragged into the political discussion, are we?
Well, it was proven that Hunter did nothing out of the ordinary (other than not use his real name, Gatherer), and even the Prime Minister of Poland who was also on the board said that he was knowledgeable, competent and fully engaged in the board discussions that went on. Unlike the adult children of a certain other prominent family. By the way, how's that Middle East peace plan coming along? I thought it was easy, I mean the guy has had 3 years to do it, and even though he had no experience in the area, it should be a snap as long as you "run it like a business," amirite? And what about the other "Senior Adviser" who runs a sweatshop in Chiner and just happened to get some exclusive licensing agreements on her own merits, of course, based on her extraordinary business acumen, no doubt. And then there's Dumb and Dumber, who aren't officially cabinet members, but neither one seems to be able to think their way out of a paper bag...
where has Bill Clinton been? how about working on a doc series on American Presidents https://wcyb.com/news/entertainment/history-channel-working-on-doc-series-with-bill-clinton yes, he's quite the outsider as to what I care about or not... you don't expect me to share my feelings here with a bunch of strangers?! you don't need my point of view attacking and accusing Trump of any other GOPer... there's enough of that without me piling on but when I bring up one single accuser against a Democrat candidate i get insults and accusations... which is expected if one cannot argue the issue, one attacks the messenger
Reade's accusations need to be investigated so that reasonable people can draw their own conclusions one of my initial points was that Ford's accusation caused an unholy storm in the media and against Kavanaugh no such storm has appeared following Reade's accusations Reade's accusations at least have some corroboration she claims the incident happened in 1993... she's told several people in the 90's about it, and all those people tend to agree with her story there's that Larry King call, supposedly from her mother there's that court filing in CA (also in the 90's) that mentions an incident during her employ at Biden's office Ford claims the incident happened in the early 1980's first time she told someone was in 2012 in therapy and unlike Reade's incident... Ford's said there were others present at the house... but even her friend (don't expect K's friends to back her up) does not back up Ford's story it seems that the pertinent difference in the accusations is the alleged attacker... one a Republican appointed Supreme Court Judge the other a Democratic candidate for President i think i said this elsewhere... but out of the two the Reade accusation is being handled better... need to wait on more evidence or even proof the Media and the Democratic Party circus about the Ford accusations was a dis-service to justice
1.There was literally no time to investigate Ford's accusation. It came out one week and then within a week or two she was in front of the Senate. Reade's accusation had the time to be investigate, so they were investigated and they were found lacking... 2. Ford's accusation did not have a significant change and they certainly did not go from accusing Kavanaugh of "unwanted touching, but absolutely not involving sexual misconduct" to "he raped me" a year later. The disservice wasn't that the Press exploded on Kavanaugh, it's that the Senate rammed it through and never gave the time to properly investigate the accusations against Kavanaugh and, as a result, the Press ran with everything against him as soon as it came out.
