Bit of a pipe dream that many players

Fraser could be a good squad player wide left, maybe martinelli gets more game time as a st if auba leaves? I think we may see more swap deals for players as money is tight

I think Mari can be excellent. Per did not need pace and was effective, he just has to read the game right

I agree it is a lot of players but it is all guys that are rumored to be on the move.

I could see Nketiah, Martinelli and a vet rotating at ST this season with Martinelli also getting some minutes at W when needed. I like the idea of a guy like Milik (assuming both PEA & Laca are moved) because he provides an aerial threat that we don't have a ST right now. While he isn't a world class ST he could rotate with Eddie and Gabby with each bringing something different to the tactics. Very similar to the way AW used Giroud.

Transfermarkt slashed the value of every player born before 1998 by 20% and every player born after by 10%. They aren't gospel, but when Arsenal are trying to cut payroll by 12.5%, they probably aren't too far off. There will be a lot of clubs desperate for cash and looking to cut payroll. There could be bargains available to any club that is willing to spend.

Of course, the easiest way for Arsenal to cut payroll would be to unload high earners like Aubameyang, Ozil or Mkhitaryan.

Selling Aubameyang probably won't bring in the same cash that we thought he would a few weeks ago, but whatever he does generate may be stretched further.

Its crazy that I still forgot El Neny and Mikhi were just loans and not fully gone smh..

I think the biggest needs are CB,CM and LW with ST being a swap deal or move Martinelli or Eddie to ST.

CB: Luiz, Sokartis must be gone. I believe will most likely keep Mustafi he did find good form aka Mustafi 2.0 under the boss. Mavropanos is still young and did well in Nuremberg. Holding is constantly injured but having Saliba and hopefully Disasi is a good pairing. Mustafi and Holding as backup??

CM- huge need our MF at times was like Swiss cheese no cover for the defense it was very sad to see. Xhaka or LT one of them is gone imo.. Dani might be gone so who do we have Guzzy? Other than Partey at DM any other prospects out there at CM for us? Shouldve kept Iowbi lol

LW: not worried too much in this department we can have Saka hold this down or Martinelli.

    Weaknesses "none" lol

Nice video somebody was quick in putting highlights up because I checked yesterday and found none. This video kinda confirms what the scouting report i posted yesterday said. Big strong, good tackler, good concentration. Seems like a sweeper CB. Not a ball playing CB or the best with the ball in his feet but that can improve..

Are we out of the running or not looking at Mykola Matviyenko?

His passing range appears to be pretty good. Per whoscored.com he completed 50% of his long passes this season. A number that was only topped by Mustafi among Arsenal’s center backs.

You forgot to add a loaf of bread, butter, and 100 rolls of toilet paper.

    Then it will happen.

Seeing links late yesterday and this morning to a move for Julian Draxler. Supposedly Mustafi has made some comments about the deal being a possibility.

Reading about Kurzawa and seeing him play a little he seems like not a good fit. He is injury prone, is a poor defender, prone to errors and doesn't track back much. He is a good attacker but as a fullback is quite weak. PSG I'm under the impression would love to offload him hence the free transfer.

I like Gueya very impressive DM, and Partey of course. I don't see Tolisso really being available to us and I'll pass on any Longstaff lol

Bayern views him as surplus and are looking for cash to fund a Havertz purchase. He is being linked to a move to us or ManU. ManU seems to have other priorities and have a pretty packed MF. He was linked to us in the past but Wneger supposedly got outbid by Bayern. Unless their asking price is too high it seems like a perfect storm.

Well better than we have currently so I wouldn't be against it , depending on the price and who we could offload and generate transfer funds from. He seems to have recovered well from his injury so it would be a great addition in CM. He would be a starter no doubt. Fingers crossed.

Ornstein claimed in an Athletic Q&A that the 3 positions we are looking to strengthen this window are CB, DM & "attack". I assume "attack" could be ST, W or AM depending on who leaves and how we want to be structured next season.

Yup I heard that. I assume attack means AM/10 most likely Ozil is on the way out or will be gone after next year to the MLS or Turkey so we need to fill that. Willock won't cut it and nobody else really fits that definition right now on this team. I think W especially LW is a need and ST we should get definently with an Auba deal. I heard the PL wants to start in May and wrap up by June 30th hopefully that is true.

We could get by without replacing the #10 if we switched to the 4-3-3 and simply had more offensive 8s (Tolisso), but I agree that if we are gonna stick with the 4-2-3-1 we really need to have a young #10 to start playing behind Ozil. I think Willock would be better suited to the 8/10 role in the 4-3-3 than he will be to a pure 10. Either way he needs a loan next season where he can get regular minutes in whatever role we envision for him.

The thing that I also think is interesting about wording it "attack" is that it doesn't necessarily mean we will be looking for 3 players (CB, DM, "attack") we could be looking for 5-6 because "attack" can be multiple positions.

My guess is that we will be looking at...

    1. Young inexpensive CB (Disasi, N'Dicka) that we think can compete for minutes now but more importantly can be a long term partner for Saliba. The exception to this is if we offload 3 or more (Luiz, Sok, Mustfi, Mari) we could also be looking for a starting caliber player (Umtiti, Upamecano).
    2. Starting caliber DM. Partey would be ideal but it won't happen unless we swap for Laca. I think the alternative will be trying to get a good deal on Marc Roca or rolling the dice with a 30+ yo or a kid with upside. I really think we should try talking with Alaba. Arsenal fan, intentionally running down his contract (expires in 2021) and plays DM/CM for his national team.
    3. "attack" depends on who goes. Let's say PEA is the only attacker out... I could envision us strengthening the attack with a guy like Tolisso who can play multiple central MF roles and can pass better than anyone we have which helps open up players like Pepe. If others go we will need more significant replacements, especially if we sell both PEA & Laca.

Just read a report that Juventus is planning to cash out on Adrien Rabiot this summer. There were rumors that Arteta tried to get him on loan in Jan. Didn't see any numbers thrown around now but in Jan there was talk of 25m euro to buy. He's not panned out at Juventus (they do have a ridiculous number of CMs) but he showed a ton of potential/ability at PSG. Any takers?

He is a superb talent..a true pure CM with very good attacking skills and can defend and be an excellent DM when played there. A very good Dribbler in tight spaces, composed passer, has intelligent movement His talent has never been questioned its his attitude, behavior and his temper. He has been described as a petulant child and there is a reason he left PSG for free and will leave Juve for free. His agent aka as his mother is notoriously tough and hard headed to deal with. Doesn't help that teammates haven't liked him and he is very immature. If Arteta can get him to grow the hell up I'm all for it.

I'd be ok taking a chance, especially if we could do a loan with an option to buy. Then if we can't straighten out his attitude we send him back. Not quite the defender that Partey is but is younger and a better passer and is still a better 6 then anything we have.
